Taylor Swift may be living the Life of a Showgirl, but she doesn't lose sight of what's real.

In a candid chat with BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Monday, Oct. 6, the pop superstar, fresh off releasing her 12th studio album, reflected on maturing, gaining perspective, and discovering what truly deserves her energy.

"Life is always chaotic, I think for everyone, no matter what, at any given time. But I do think that one thing I love about having been alive longer than I had been before, you know, you hopefully learn to sort of filter out what matters really."

The "Elizabeth Taylor" songstress added:

"I'm a little bit more able to sort of sense what's a real emergency and what's a real reason to be very upset."

For Taylor Swift, the most important things are her family, friends, as well as her cats and her relationship. She also cited her art and her penchant for baking. The pop star reflected on her past experiences with stress and how she navigates it.

"Everything that is noise, you deal with it just like anything else. It's not like you're impenetrable and immune to stress but I do know that it's just stress. I've been through a lot of stress before just like everyone else and then you're gonna be fine as long as it's just stress."

Taylor Swift opens up about her relationship with fiancé Travis Kelce, reveals what truly connects them

Taylor Swift, who is engaged to her longtime beau Travis Kelce, dished on her relationship with the NFL star.

“I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music."

The "Actually Romantic" singer further spoke about her bond with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end:

"That's the coolest thing about Travis — he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us.”

Both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are competitive, according to the Showgirl star herself. But despite their vastly different professions, the singer noted that their careers are also similar in a sense.

“We both, as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums. We both do three and a half hour shows to entertain people for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums. When I'm in those stadiums, it's a dressing room, but when he's in those exact same stadiums, it's a locker room.”

Taylor Swift dropped her much-anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3. The full-length record contains 12 tracks, including "Honey," "Eldest Daughter," and "Ruin the Friendship."

On Oct. 5, coincidentally Kelce's birthday, Swift unveiled the music video for one of Showgirl's tracks, "The Fate of Ophelia," which is said to be a love letter to her fiancé.
