Rapper Nicki Minaj reached out to Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna amidst her online feud with singer SZA. The reports by The Daily Beast states that Minaj said she felt threatened after a livestream by DJ/streamer MackWop, who works with SZA’s record label, Top Dawg Entertainment. In her posts, Minaj asked both the FBI and the CIA to look into the matter.
The fight started when MackWop said on livestream:
“Hey, Nicki, relax, relax before you get put in a blender like your boy did.”
Minaj saw this statement as a threat to her safety. On social media platform X, Minaj wrote:
“Is this a threat? @FBI.”
She then called out MackWop again, saying:
“@MackWop did you just threaten to harm me? @FBI I want this man investigated right away.”
After this, Minaj tagged Congresswoman Luna, writing:
“@RepLuna this man just publicly threatened me. I’ve notified the FBI & CIA. I want this thug locked up & I’m ready to talk about everything these ppl have done to me.”
Congresswoman Luna replies to Nicki Minaj
As per the reports by NBC News, Luna replied quickly to Nicki Minaj's message, saying:
“Please text my cell, I will forward this to law enforcement immediately. Threats of violence and assassination should be taken very seriously.”
She also added:
“Can confirm, I spoke with @NICKIMINAJ directly and will be doing everything we can to ensure her safety. We take threats of violence and assassination very seriously. RICO is also illegal. I am deeply concerned that there has been unchecked corruption within certain aspects of the rap industry. Artists should be respected and not afraid of managers, labels, etc.”
This showed that Luna was ready to help, though Minaj does not live in her district and has different political views.
The sparked the feud between Nicki Minaj and SZA?
The reports by Page Six states that the feud began when Nicki Minaj made strong posts about SZA and her record label’s boss. She said she was getting bullied by Terrence “Punch” Henderson, a manager at SZA’s label. SZA posted something about "don’t take the bait" during Mercury retrograde and Minaj thought this was a hidden dig at her.
Nicki Minaj reacted with harsh words, saying SZA sounded “like a f*king dead dog,” called her voice annoying, and claimed her songs wouldn’t be missed if they disappeared. She also accused SZA of using bots to boost streams and said SZA failed to speak out when she was bullied. SZA answered calmly. She said she wasn’t talking about Minaj and that she deals with online hate all the time. SZA said her real life and tour success outshine words online.

This isn't the first time Minaj has had public fights. She has had feuds with rappers like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and others. The line from MackWop about a “blender” referenced last year’s feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Drake is a long-time collaborator of Minaj and this added tension to an already heated conflict.
Anna Paulina Luna has previously spoken up for rapper Tory Lanez. So Minaj likely felt she had an ally when she reached out.

What might come up next
Nicki Minaj is asking authorities to look into MackWop’s words and actions. Luna says she will pass any details to law enforcement and is taking threats very seriously. MackWop hasn’t faced any legal action yet and the companies and reps for SZA and TDE have not said anything. SZA's tour is still going on as planned.
All sides say they want to sort this in a fair way. Nicki Minaj wants to feel safe, congresswoman Luna seems ready to help. And SZA wants to keep her focus on her music and her fans.
