“Y’all might wanna chill” — TDE Punch takes a stand for SZA as DJ Akademiks calls her a “snake” amid Nicki Minaj feud

Amid the discord between SZA, aka Solána Imani Rowe, and Nicki Minaj, rapper TDE Punch seems to have taken a side. His stance seemed clear after YouTuber and podcaster DJ Akademiks called the "Snooze" singer a “snake.” Sharing a clip from his livestream on the secondary X account @AkademiksTV, the YouTuber wrote:

“SZA snake a** cant cry to Drake no more to protect her dont let that treesh tweets fool you she type them sh*ts with tears in her eyes crying off the ledge.”

Meanwhile, TDE Punch reshared the post, with the caption:

“lol. Y’all might wanna chill. For real champ. Let’s just keep it cool this time around. Or just give me a call man. lol.”

In the video, DJ Akademiks can be seen bashing Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s fans for mentioning him in their X posts. He said:

“Because if you all get me excited, this ch*ck will commit it. I am telling you. Okay? If she crying, that was the lightest I ever went on anybody. And she cried to Drake, couldn’t do a song. She cried to all the blood hunters or whatever the f*ck they are in California n**ga.”

Meanwhile, in another X post, TDE Punch tagged DJ Akademiks and said he didn’t have a problem with what was said during the verbal altercation. However, he wanted clarification about the personal insults.

He also mentioned hearing conflicting views about whether Akademiks was behind the post about Rowe, even though Akademiks claimed he wasn’t. DJ Akademiks reshared TDE Punch's post on his personal X account and wrote:

“Brother yall told me the government name of the person who runs the account. Idk what u heard but official clarification - Drake don’t and can’t write our captions. However we fw him n he fw us. Last time he was the only reason I let up off sza. Nobody else . That was the point.”

SZA goes after Nicki Minaj after the latter posts about TDE Punch

The beef between Nicki Minaj and SZA began after Minaj took a dig at Punch. She called out TDE Punch on July 15, saying he wouldn’t dare fight a man and accused him of constant bullying and lying. She claimed to have proof of his behavior.

Nicki Minaj also said she had evidence that he publicly bullied and lied about her on a platform she uses for work after she turned down his business offers multiple times. According to her, TDE Punch didn’t tell people she had rejected his proposals and instead retaliated with actions meant to damage her financially and harm her brand.

SZA responded to Minaj’s claims, writing:

“Mercury retrograde.. don't take the bait lol silly goose.”

Nicki Minaj countered with her comment:

“Go draw your freckles back on bookie... Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a fkng dead dog.”

Rowe responded to Nicki Minaj by saying she didn’t care at all about what Minaj talked about. Meanwhile, Minaj criticised her SOS album, saying SZA released a “deluxe” version of one that had already been out, only to break records. She questioned the move, calling it insecure and lacking integrity, and said she thought Rowe was genuine before dismissing her.
