Nine Inch Nails have officially launched the North American leg of their Peel It Back World Tour on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, with a 20-song performance at Oakland Arena in California.

The show was the band's return to U.S. stages after a three-year break. It came with new material, significant lineup changes, and a dual-stage format. Oakland's show notably featured the live debut of "As Alive as You Need Me to Be," a brand-new track from the upcoming Tron: Ares film soundtrack. It also welcomed back drummer Josh Freese for his first appearance with the group since 2008.

Nine Inch Nails' North American stretch follows a June-July run through Europe and the UK. Like the earlier shows, the stateside dates feature a two-stage layout: a main stage with visuals and industrial rock anthems, and a relatively smaller B-stage located mid-arena for stripped-down performances, and more.

The Oakland gig began on the B-stage with a solo piano rendition of "Right Where It Belongs," before launching into cuts "Ruiner” and "Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)." Then came Nine Inch Nails' main stage performances with "Wish," "March of the Pigs," and "Reptile," among others.

Returning to the B-stage, Nine Inch Nails were joined by Boys Noize. They were the night's opener and tour support. They performed a four-song remix set. This included the live debut of "As Alive as You Need Me to Be." A complete setlist is as follows:
