David Fumero will apparently not be around for One Life to Live's ABC finale in January. The actor has taped his final scenes, and his character, Cristian Vega, will be written out later this year.

Another One Life to Live star will exit before the show's broadcast television finale in January. A show source tells Soap Central that David Fumero (Cristian Vega) has taped his final OLTL scenes. The actor is expected to continue airing into September.

Last year, fans breathed a sigh of relief as Fumero inked a new contract after a period of extended contract talks. The terms of the new contract were not revealed.

Yorlin Madera originated the role of Cristian in May 1995. Madera remained with the show through early 1998. Fumero took over in June 1998. Since that time, Fumero has made several brief exits from the show. The actor rejoined the show full-time in September 2005.

Fumero married his former One Life to Live co-star, Melissa Fumero (Adriana Cramer), in December 2007.

Fumero's exit is the latest in a series of high-profile departures from the show. In June, One Life to Live announced that three of its stars -- Gina Tognoni (Kelly Cramer), Tom Degnan (Joey Buchanan), and Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord) -- would be bowing out: Tognoni and Degnan are expected to exit the canvas together in late-August. Strasser, meanwhile, asked to be let out of her contract early in order to undergo back surgery -- surgery that, thankfully, Strasser no longer needs. Though she's already taped her farewell scenes, Strasser told TVGuide's Michael Logan, "if the show needed me and I can walk, I'd run [back] to Llanview!"
