Sean Diddy Combs' trial on s*x trafficking and racketeering continued on May 15, 2025, and his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who is the prosecution’s star witness, has made more shocking allegations.

On the first day of her testimony, the R&B singer, who is reported to be pregnant, claimed that she recorded “hundreds of songs” while being signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records but never got to release them.

She added that she suffered psychological abuse from the music mogul as he always expected her to be busy doing something and would check in to ensure the same. On May 14, Cassie Ventura returned to the stand and accused Combs of raping her in 2018.

Ventura, who dated Sean Diddy Combs on and off from 2007 to 2018, alleged that she went to have dinner with Combs in August 2018, although they weren’t dating then. She stated that after the dinner where they discussed their breakup, Combs followed her to her apartment and raped her on the living room floor.

Ventura also recounted being beaten in the car by Combs. She added that the embattled music mogul stomped on her and left her face swollen.

On May 15, 2025, Cassie was cross-examined by Combs’ defense team. The defense showed a text message where Cassie seemingly admitted to enjoying the “freakoffs”—drug fueled s*x parties that Ventura claims Combs subjected her to. In the message, Ventura reportedly told Combs, “I love our (Freak Offs) when we both want it.”

Cassie Ventura replied that the message was “just words at that point.” The defense tried to use the message to show that Ventura was a consenting adult and wasn’t coerced to participate in any s**ual activity.

Cassie Ventura stated in the witness box that she argued with Combs about a woman named Gina, whom he had seen while they were still dating in 2014. The Me & U crooner further alleged that she and Combs abused drugs constantly during their relationship.

She added that the music executive turned violent when he discovered she was doing drugs with her friends or taking his drugs without his knowledge.

Judge Subramanian, who presided over the proceedings, told the attorneys that he wanted Cassie Ventura to be done with her testimony on May 16, 2025, because of her delicate state:

"The direct took a day and a half, so that the defense will have a day and a half. So you have today, you have the morning tomorrow,” Subramanian said.
“If there’s something that really needs to be done after the lunch break, then you can have some additional time at my discretion,” he added.

Combs’ lead attorney Marc Agnifilo responded that the defense was trying to keep their questions brief, but also stressed that Ventura was the most important witness in the case.

He stated:

“That is the cross-examination that is required of a critical witness in a trial that involves a life sentence.”

According to live reports from CNN, Sean Diddy Combs didn’t look happy when Cassie Ventura gave her testimony. The news outlet also reported that Combs passed notes continuously to his defense team while his ex-girlfriend was being questioned.

Diddy’s trial will last up to eight weeks and will not be televised. Stay tuned for more news.
