Reality star Kim Zolciak recently described how she managed the household finances following her ex‑husband’s retirement from professional football. According to Zolciak, Kroy Biermann did not take on steady work between 2015 and early 2024, leaving her to handle daily costs on her own.

“He hasn't paid a bill in this house,” she said

Noting that she covered rent, utilities, groceries, and her children’s needs by appearing on multiple television shows during that time. Zolciak explained that these earnings became essential for the family until Biermann returned to the workforce in early 2024.

On Kristin Cavallari’s podcast, Zolciak claimed that Biermann threatened to damage her reputation once she announced their divorce plans. She quoted him saying he would “publicly destroy” her so she “would never work again.”

At the same time, Kim Zolciak reported that valuable items vanished from their home. She specifically mentioned that all her and daughter Brielle’s jewelry, and about twenty designer handbags, were taken without explanation.

Their family home was foreclosed and sold at a loss

In early 2025, Kim Zolciak and Biermann lost their Georgia mansion to foreclosure. Legal documents show U.S. Marshals evicted them in April after the property changed hands in January for $2.8 million, a figure far below its original listing price. Kim Zolciak described the eviction as “very stressful” and said the foreclosure forced her to rely on her television income even more. Both former spouses briefly paused their divorce filings before resuming proceedings later this spring.

Their eldest daughter, Ariana Biermann, age 23, revealed on a recent podcast that she discovered two years ago that her childhood brand‑deal earnings were gone. She accused both parents of using her funds without her knowledge to cover family expenses.

Ariana added that, despite the breach of trust, she has been lending her mother money, saying Kim Zolciak has been slowly repaying her. She stressed that she wants to keep family bonds strong despite these financial disputes.

Public records and past filings indicate the family owed over $1 million to the IRS, a debt that contributed to the decision to sell their home. Reports show the unpaid taxes date back several years, with interest and penalties mounting.

Kim Zolciak has said that addressing this tax liability became her top priority after the foreclosure. The need to resolve these debts added to the challenges she and her children faced during the legal separation.

As of mid‑June 2025, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s divorce is still in court. Both have filed legal documents to finalize asset division and child‑support arrangements.

Kim Zolciak has emphasized her goal of providing stability for all six children, while Biermann has largely remained silent in public statements. Their legal teams continue to negotiate details of property settlement and debt responsibility before a judge will issue a final decree.

Family life continues amid financial changes

Despite the public scrutiny, the family is moving forward. Kim has installed new routines in her current home and resumed filming select projects.

Ariana and her younger sisters are focusing on school, work, and personal growth, even as they navigate the fallout from their parents’ split. The coming months will likely bring more updates on settlements, repayments, and how each family member rebuilds trust and financial security.
