Former Making the Band alum, Aubrey O'Day, speaks out about Diddy's children sitting through their father's testimony in court amid his ongoing trial. O'Day was a part of Danity Kane, a band that was founded on the third season of Diddy's reality show Making the Band. The bans was signed to Bad Boy Records by Diddy back in 2005. Aubrey O'Day continues to make music and has been a part of many acting stints and theater over the years.
Aubrey O'Day had a few things to say about Sean Combs' children being present in court during the first few days when testimonies were being shared. This included Diddy's ex, Cassie Ventura, speaking out about his alleged s*xual abuse and domestic violence.
Six out of seven of Combs' children were present at their father's trial, including his adopted son, Quincy Taylor Brown. O'Day mentioned it on the Amy & T.J. podcast hosted by Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, saying:
"The fact that the kids are being are marching up to that court... I don't know any father that would want their children to sit through [that kind of] testimony."
Aubrey O'Day speaks out on Diddy's kids showing up in court
Aubrey O'Day was quite vocal during her time on Amy & T.J.'s podcast. In her opinion, she thought Combs was "being selfish" for wanting his children to be present in court. She added:
"In my opinion, it feels like 'Daddy needs you in court because Daddy needs all the optics to look in his favor.'"
However, not all of his children were present during the testimonies. On May 12, 2025, Chance and the twins, D’Lila & Jessie Combs, exited the courtroom twice. This was during a testimony by a male escort, Daniel Phillip, who shared vivid information about an alleged paid encounter between himself and Cassie Ventura, while the Bad Boy Records founder watched and pleased himself.
There were also reports of his children's reaction in court when the video of Diddy attacking Ventura was played by the prosecutors. Reports stated that his sons watched the video being played, while his daughters and Janice Combs looked straight ahead.
O'Day also clarified that she will not testify in court against Diddy.
Aubrey O'Day's statements force the public to look at the broader implications of involving children in high-profile and publicized cases. While Diddy pleads not guilty to all five charges against him, the public is waiting to see the court's decision as the trial progresses.
