An American Airlines pilot, Steve Holmes, is being criticized after his alleged comments on Charlie Kirk.
According to an X post by MILO, Holmes reshared a YouTube video of Kirk on social media with the comment:
“Well hey Charlie. Sorry you got shot in your fat f***ing forehead. It was just the cost of our liberty. “Thoughts and prayers.””

The user, MILO, tagged American Airlines in the post, asking if this was a normal incident. They wrote:
“Passengers will be concerned that yet another pilot of yours is so shameless, hateful and reckless.”
Social media users commented below the post, tagging the airline company as they demanded an explanation for it. One X user (@dmxy) wrote:
“As an AA Admiral card holder with Platinum status I am deeply concerned with this. @AmericanAir please clarify this for us. Thank you.”
Another social media user (@RightandNerdy) commented:
“@AmericanAir I do not want this person anywhere near an aircraft I’m flying on. He is dangerous!”
A third user (@EndingLeftism) mentioned:
“They just can’t help themselves. Terminate his employment, pull his license.”
Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, thanked everyone for their support
On September 12, Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, addressed his viewers in a video that was posted on Kirk’s official YouTube channel. She first thanked the officials who were behind capturing the suspect. She then thanked the first responders who worked hard to save Charlie’s life. She said:
“My heart is with every one of my husband's employees who lost a friend and a mentor. I want to thank the staffers of this his amazing Charlie Kirk show who helped him broadcast from this studio, this this chair every day. He loved it.”
Erika thanked her husband’s close friend, Vice President Vance, and his wife, Usha, for the love and support they gave, especially for the way they honored her husband while bringing him home.
She also thanked President Trump and his family, saying Charlie Kirk cared deeply for them, knew they cared for him too, and that their friendship and support meant a lot to him.
Erika explains what Charlie Kirk loved
Erika mentioned that Charlie Kirk desired to be remembered for his courage and faith. She said he would now be beside the almighty savior as a martyr. Speaking about what Charlie liked, she said:
“Charlie loved life. He loved his life. He loved America. He loved nature, which helped him always bring him closer to God. He loved the Chicago Cubs. And my goodness, did he love the Oregon Ducks.”
Erika shared that Charlie loved his children and her with all his heart, and he showed it every single day. He always asked how he could be a better husband and father. She described him as the perfect husband and father, someone who believed that God’s plan for marriage and family was wonderful.
She said that it brought him the greatest happiness, and he often encouraged young people to find their partners, get married, and have families, because he wanted them to experience the same love and joy that he had.
