Cassie Ventura appeared in court for the fourth consecutive day in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse in New York City. Combs is facing charges of racketeering and s*x trafficking, and Ventura is a prominent witness for the prosecution.
Ventura has been taking the stand in court since day 2 of the trial, and her testimony involved a detailed recounting of her allegations against Combs. In September 2023, she filed a lawsuit against the music executive and rapper, accusing him of r*pe and s*xual misconduct.
Diddy’s counsel presented the jury with the narrative that Cassie Ventura had been a willing participant in the music mogul’s dr*g propelled s*xual sessions, which he alleged called ‘freak offs,’ as per Fox 59. In response to the argument put forward by Comb’s defence counsel, and stating her justification on why she alleges that she was coerced into participating in ‘freak offs,’ Ventura, as per the New York Post, said,
“I had a whole other job…basically a s*x worker.”

According to a report by People Magazine, Ventura testified in court that Diddy actively blocked any developments in her career, as that would have reduced his control over her life. She reiterated her allegations by recalling an incident where Combs did not allow Cassie to make a music video with a fellow musician, Common.
As per Ventura’s testimony, quoted by People Magazine, she alleged that she could not fully pursue developments in her career as she ‘had another job.’ Ventura went on to allege that the ‘another job’ she was referring to was her role as a participant in Diddy’s drug-propelled s*xual sessions, in which she was coerced into engaging in s*xual acts with male pr*stitutes.
Earlier in her testimony, Ventura alleged that Combs’ s*x sessions, or ‘freak offs,’ would go on for days, and participating in them had been physically and mentally exhausting for her.
Previously, to iterate that her career was limited to being a participant in ‘freak offs,’ Ventura pointed out that she had signed a 10-album deal with Combs' record label, Bad Boy Records. According to People Magazine, she noted only one album of hers had been released during the 11 years of her on-and-off relationship with Diddy.
Cassie Ventura’s cross-examination by Comb’s defense counsel
Diddy’s defense counsel attempted to reasonably justify that the concerned s*x sessions were consensual, as per Fox 59. The news outlet noted that the music mogul’s defense counsel countered the allegations brought to light by Cassie Ventura by highlighting text messages exchanged between Diddy and Ventura between 2008 and 2018.

The text message conversations were an important part of the defense’s counter-questioning of the prosecution's witness, Ventura.
According to Fox 59, Ventura, in response to the defense’s cross-examination, shared that she had initially been open about engaging in the s*x sessions as she wanted Combs to be happy. However, later on, she did not want to participate in them.
Further, Cassie Ventura, in response to the defense’s cross-examination, stated that she was always under the threat of blackmail and violence by Combs if she did not agree with his plans.
As per Fox News, pop star Dawn Richards, who has worked in the past with Diddy, testified in court that she had been a witness to his physical assault of Ventura.
Cassie Ventura released a statement through her attorneys after the trial, which read,
“This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me, I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors, and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear. For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember, and the more I can remember, the more I will never forget.”
Cassie Ventura, married to Alex Fine, is 8 months pregnant at present.
