Conservative political commentator Matt Walsh shared his disappointment and concerns after interacting with his own AI character. Walsh, who is a vocal critic of AI advancements, shared a video on his YouTube on October 25 in which he shared about "Character AI." The Daily Wire host shared that it is a platform on which people can talk to AI personalities of famous people.

He revealed that the platform has multiple AI versions of him as well. Before interacting with his AI character, he slammed the platform for creating it without his permission. The political commentator called it "plagiarism." Walsh chose a version and the bio of the character described it as, "I'm Matt Walsh, an American right-wing political commentator and author." Reacting to it, the media personality said,

"This is creepy. I don't like this at all. I'm not amused in the slightest by this... I don't like this. I don't like. This is not right. No part of this is right. This should not be legal. I mean, the cadence is not exactly there, but it's exactly my voice."

Further in the video, Walsh expressed his disappointment over the responses given by his AI character.

Matt Walsh asked his own AI version about his kids. The chatbot answered that the political commentator has five kids. Walsh corrected it and shared that he has six children. The AI character made up a story about a stepdaughter named "Sophia."

"I don't have a stepdaughter. What are you talking about? Where did you get this information?" Walsh reacted to the made-up response.

Notably, the chatbot attempted to convince the political commentator that he was a bot. Further in the conversation, Matt Walsh asked his AI version about its opinion on transgenderism and gay marriages. The conservative media personality didn't like the responses. Walsh concluded the video by saying,

"If I were a cynical sword, I would say that this thing was designed to be the exact opposite of me. This is a big big troll move. So, um, that's it. You know, this is evil and wrong and, uh, it shouldn't exist at all in the world. This should not be a thing. It should be against the law, right? You should not be able to use my likeness to create or my voice without my, consent. And so, I should be able to sue to make this go away."

Matt Walsh often expressed his concerns related to AI in his tweets and videos. On October 9, Walsh shared a post warning about millions of job losses due to AI. He had earlier demanded laws to regulate the development of AI.
