FaZe Banks and the spliting of FaZe gaming clan

The FaZe gaming clan, of which FaZe Banks (real name Ricky Bengston) was a part of, experienced a split recently. FaZe Rug, one of the core members of the group, announced his exit from the group after 13 years. Stating in an X post on December 28, 2025, Rug stated:

"Officially left @FaZeClan. This one hurts. After 13 years, I’ve decided to part ways with FaZe. Very grateful for everyone who’s been part of this journey, and the people who became family along the way. FaZe will forever be part of my legacy, but now the new chapter begins."

Other members of the group have also left, including Adapt, Lacy, Apex and Swagg. After the loss of the members, FaZe Banks, who joined the clan in 2013, announced that FaZe as a clan is ending, stating in an social media post on X on December 28, 2025:

"This is the end of @FaZeClan. I wish you guys could see my heart. I'm sorry to everyone I let down, sincerely. I really tried my best. Wishing everyone involved a happy, healthy & successful life moving forward. It’s over. I give up. I quit. Amen."

FaZe Banks posted a clip from an Adin Ross livestream in his message, where Adin Ross claims that Banks dissuaded him from joining the gaming clan and helped him out in his career.

FaZe was founded in 2010 as FaZe Sniping by Eric "CLipZ" Rivera, Jeff "House Cat" Eman, and Ben "Resistance" Christensen. It was bought by Game Square in 2023 and was split off into FaZe Esports and FaZe Media.
