Megan Thee Stallion sued blogger Milagro Gramz in October 2024. She claimed that Milagro spread false stories and a fake video of her without her consent. The rapper wants a permanent stop to these posts.

Recently, in a livestream with Adin Ross, DJ Akademiks said he received a subpoena from Roc Nation on July 24, 2025. He said Roc Nation, the company that manages Megan Thee Stallion, wants him to give testimony in Megan’s lawsuit. He is not being sued, but he must answer questions in the case involving Milagro Gramz. In the livestream, he said,

"Roc Nation hit me with a subpoena yesterday. I promise you. They hit me with a subpoena to be deposed. They're not suing me or nothing, but they're suing another blogger named Milagro over Tory Lanez."

Milagro Gramz is the online name of Milagro Elizabeth Cooper. She is known for posting content on YouTube and X about Tory Lanez’s case. She spoke out in support of Lanez after he was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Megan’s legal team says Milagro worked as a paid agent or surrogate for Lanez. They also claimed that Gramz refused to hand over messages and data when asked in court.

What are the main claims in Megan Thee Stallion's lawsuit?

Megan Thee Stallion's case is being held in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The lawsuit accuses Gramz of defamation, cyberstalking, emotional distress, and sharing deepfake pornographic videos of Megan Thee Stallion, as per the reports by Teen Vogue. One claim says Milagro posted a doctored video showing Megan in sexual acts. Megan says it was done without her consent and that Gramz made false claims about her mental health or her court.

The reports by People Magazine mentioned that the lawsuit calls Gramz a “mouthpiece,” “puppet,” and paid surrogate. It says Gramz posted misinformation about the shooting, including rumors that gun evidence went missing. However, authorities confirmed that the gun was never lost.

Recent developments and what comes next?

The reports by Power 98 FM states that Milagro has had legal troubles in the fight. Her first local lawyer in Florida left the case. Then her larger team from Unite the People also withdrew. They cited unpaid fees and financial strain. Gramz started fundraising to pay her legal fees. She used platforms like GiveSendGo and said that the case is part of a fight for independent voices online.

A report by Black Enterprise mentioned that a judge granted Megan Thee Stallion a gag order in June 2025. This order stops both Megan and Gramz from speaking publicly about this case. The judge noted Gramz’s posts could incite violence or harassment. Megan Thee Stallion's team also asked the court to force Gramz to give access to her private messages and metadata. They want a forensic firm to check Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, and iMessage. If Gramz objects or fails to comply, jurors may be asked to assume the missing info would harm her case. This comes directly from a report by Hot New Hip Hop.

DJ Akademiks confirmed on July 24, 2025, that he was subpoenaed by Roc Nation. He said he will sit for a deposition in the lawsuit. He noted he is not the target of the suit, but his testimony might relate to connections between Gramz, Lanez, and the online harassment campaign.

The next court milestone is still pending. It may include a decision on whether the content access request is allowed. It could also set a timetable for a jury trial. As the suit moves forward, DJ Akademiks and others may have to testify about what they saw or knew. The litigation may take months.
