Episode 12 of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty begins with Ji-young, devastated to learn that the revolt has begun. However, it was Prince Jesan who planned it and not the King. At the Salgoji forest, Lee-heon and his soldiers fight the traitors and end up getting injured.

However, they managed to survive. Meanwhile, Ji-young asks Gong-gil to help her save the King and expose Prince Jesan. While they plan to rescue Lee-heon, he goes to the palace and confronts the traitor.

Prince Jesan finally reveals that all he ever wanted was to become the King, but the throne was never given to him. So, he planned to frame Lee-heon and use Jinmyeong's innocence to rule Joseon.

King Lee-heon wasn't startled to hear what Prince Jesan had been doing all along, but did express disappointment with Consort Kang. As the episode continues, Lee-heon agrees to follow Jesan's instructions while keeping his actual plan a secret until the right time.

The traitors spread rumors about Lee-heon's madness in the village, and when he was moved to the prison, the villagers threw stones at him. Ji-young also arrives to see the King, but their reunion is short-lived as the soldiers push Ji-young away.

After leaving the Joseon era, Ji-young wakes up in a hospital in Seoul, learning that she has finally returned. However, she feels heartbroken and tries to go back and find Lee-heon. Ji-young reads the lines from Mangunrok, but all her attempts fail.

At this moment, it looked like she wouldn't be able to meet Lee-heon ever again. A month later, she joins the restaurant as the head chef and introduces a whole new menu, offering the royal food of the Joseon era with a modern twist.

When Ji-young meets her team, she's surprised to see that Chef Maeng, Chef Eom, Gil-geum, and others have been reincarnated. Not only this, Song-jae also arrives at her restaurant, this time as a fake Michelin inspector.

When Song-jae's modern version wrongly judges Ji-young's food and humiliates her, a voice from behind says, "If what you say is true... I will try it myself", leaving Ji-young in tears as she sees Lee-heon after a long time.

When she asks if he's really him, Lee-heon replies, "I came to keep my promise. My promise to find you." Ji-young hugs him, and the two share a heartfelt kiss. The next day, Ji-young wakes up only to witness her kitchen being a mess. Thanks to Lee-heon, who has prepared Bibimbap for her.

In the final moments of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, we see Lee-heon and Ji-young living a happy life in the future. The history changed a bit, as the King went from dying to disappearing as he travelled to find his love.
