The King loses control and takes out his sword to kill his grandmother and everyone who kept the truth hidden for years. Lee-heon is broken and filled with rage, but Ji-young calms him down.

King Lee-heon's maternal grandmother reveals the truth after eating Ji-young's chocolates in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

Tension intensifies in episode 11 of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty as King Lee-heon decides to behead his grandmother for killing the former Queen (his mother). Ji-young tried hard but couldn't stop him, and made her final move.
She offers the handmade chocolate to the King’s maternal grandmother, and the taste brings her back to her senses. Just when Lee-heon is about to kill Queen Dowager, his maternal grandmother reveals that:
"Her majesty took the poison, and she coughed up blood. She cried out toward the sky. 'My son... may he become a sage king'. Those were the words she cried out before taking her last breath."
King Lee-heon took his sword down, as his mother's last wish was to see her son become a sage king of Joseon. Unlike his father, who chose to kill his wife using brutality, the former Queen wanted Lee-heon to become a wise and kind ruler of the dynasty.

As the penultimate episode of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty continues, Ji-young convinces the King to have dinner with his grandmother. Initially, he feels it's a bad idea, since the Queen was the one who asked for the death penalty for her own daughter-in-law.

When Song-jae overhears them, another evil minister and an ally to Jesan hits him. They take away Song-jae with him, finally starting the most brutal battles of the Joseon dynasty that Ji-young once studied.
