What happened in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty Episode 4: A quick recap

The cooking competition set by Consort Kang begins in Episode 4 of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, and despite many challenges, Ji-young wins. She prepares a special soup with a flavour that Dowager Queen In-ju has been longing for since she got married and stepped into the palace.

Initially, everyone worried that the Queen might dismiss the dish as too simple, but after tasting it, she found it rich with flavors. Even the King was amazed, except Consort Kang, who couldn't believe that Ji-young was declared the winner.

Later, the King ordered the punishment of cutting off the arms of the two losing cooks, but Ji-young’s heartfelt plea saved them. At night, King Lee-heon became uneasy and experienced fits. He learned that the author he was supposed to meet had disappeared.
