As Peacemaker Season 2 is three episodes in, DC fans are sharing countless wild theories on the internet after every episode. The third episode, Another Rick Up My Sleeve, showed us what the much-hyped-up alternate dimension looked like. We saw very little of this alternate dimension in the first two episodes, but we caught a glimpse of it in the third episode.
Now, a Reddit theory suggests that Peacemaker Season 2 may reveal that Eagly is also from the alternate dimension we saw in this episode. According to the theory, the Eagly that Chris left at his father's house before his imprisonment at Belle Reve, at the beginning of The Suicide Squad, and the bald eagle in Peacemaker Season 1 might not be the same.
This theory posits that one of Peacemaker Season 2's twists is that the DCU Christopher's Eagly died off-screen before the first season:
This theory points to the opening minutes of Peacemaker Season 2 as the proof of Eagly's origin. It must be noted that it was the bald eagle that pointed Chris to the door of his alternate dimension self's place. According to this Redditor, Eagly died off-screen as Christopher was serving his 30-year-long sentence in Belle Reve. The DCU Auggie buried the dead eagle and replaced it with an Eagly in another dimension.
The theory states that the DCU Auggie used labels for the different Peacemaker helmets in the season 1 premiere because he stole them and used labels as a user manual, as he himself did not know which helmet did what. They further point out that Eagly is trying to bite Leota Adebayo while being more affectionate towards Chris as evidence of the bald eagle being from the alternate dimension.
Speaking of which:
Many believe that Peacemaker Season 2's alternate dimension is a dystopia:
One of the popular theories, ever since the release of the third episode, is that the alternate dimension is Earth X, an Earth in the DC Comics lore in which N*zis won. The A.R.G.U.S. and Smith family of this reality, i.e., Auggie, Chris, and Keith, are fascists who are enforcing an oppressive regime. It should be noted that none of these theories has been confirmed.
Some reporters and influencers have watched the first five episodes of the second season. However, they have to wait with the rest of the fans to watch the sixth, seventh, and eighth episodes. When asked for the reason behind keeping the last three episodes a secret, Gunn joked that they could be terrible, but then, on a more serious note, teased unexpected twists in those episodes at the red carpet premiere:
"It could mean they're terrible[laughs]. That is one option. Or it could mean that there's a lot of major twists and turns in the last three episodes. And even though I'm sending the first five to a select few, things still get out as you know. Things got out already. You know, people who want to search can be spoiled on purpose, but I really don't want what's in those last three episodes to be spoiled. And so I'm keeping them close to the chest. I won't even let my publicist see them. That's the god's honest truth."
What do we know about the second season of the HBO series?
As mentioned earlier, the first three episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 are available to stream as of now. It seems that everyone in the 11th Street Kids is going through a rough phase. To escape this miserable life, Chris uses the pocket dimension storage unit in his house, i.e., the QUC/Quantum Unfolding Chamber, to travel to an alternate dimension, where he is respected.
James Gunn teased the role of the QUC in Peacemaker Season 2 in the May 2025 Entertainment Weekly interview:
"You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman. The QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2... We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show."
