Gen V Season 2 "Cooking Lessons" saw the return of Giancarlo Esposito's Stan Edgar and Olivia Morandin's Zoe Neuman (Victoria Neuman's daughter). The episode finally seems to hint at the long-standing fan theory that the burnt man in the hyperbaric chamber in Cipher's place might be Thomas Godolkin. Meanwhile, the mystery of the unnamed burnt man is thickening as we see Cipher hit the former in a scene.
Thus, there is enough setup in this episode for Gen V Season 2, Episode 7, which remains untitled as of now. But we will get to see what happens next Wednesday.

What happens in Gen V Season 2 Episode 6?
The Gen V Season 2 Episode 6 promo hints at Annabeth having powers, and the opening minutes of the episode confirm that. Later, Annabeth reveals that she has some mild precognitive abilities, i.e., she can predict some events of the future. We see her powers in action two times: When Sam comes to save them in Elmira and when she warns them about Vikor's hammer.
While Vikor manages to overpower all of them, Victoria Neuman's daughter Zoe walks in and kills the hammer-wielding supe using her powers. Accompanying her is Stan Edgar, who takes Cate, Emma, Jordan, and Marie to his doomsday bunker far away from Homelander or any other Vought Supe's eyes. There, Edgar reveals that only two kids had survived Project Odessa: Homelander and, a decade later, Marie.
However, the Vought scientists initially believed that Marie had no special powers, which is why she may be better than Homelander. This is where Cate and Jordan inform Stan Edgar about the burnt man inside the secret chamber in Cipher's home, and they believe that the burnt man might be God U founder Thomas Godolkin himself.
Edgar tells Marie that if the burnt man is indeed Godolkin, they'll need him to control the supes, which will also help him return to Vought. In the closing minutes of the episode, Marie is walking out of the bunker, and Cate joins her.
The promo for the seventh episode hints at the team attempting to rescue Godolkin:
The promo for the seventh episode is available only on Prime Video (under the extras tab as a part of the bonus feature), in which Marie informs Polarity (who spent the majority of episode 6 under Cipher's control) that Godolkin might be alive after all. We see Cate, Polarity, and Marie break into Cipher's office. Thus, the next episode or the one after that might finally answer whether the burnt man is Godolkin or not.
"In Season Two, school is back in session. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander's iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it."
As we wait for the untitled seventh episode, six episodes of this season are available. As of now, only two episodes are left, with the season finale streaming on October 22, 2025.
