Love Is Blind: France Episode 2: Julie and Charles open up to each other on a deeper level
Julie, 34, an event manager, was developing a strong bond with Charles, 37. During one of their blind dates on Love Is Blind: France, Charles mentioned that both of them had been single for two years. Listening to him, Julie told him that she had been single for eight years.
"To be honest, I've been single for eight years. I had two long relationships, five years and two and a half years, and for the past eight years, I haven't been emotionally available to start a new relationship," she said.
When Julie shared about her past relationships, Charles asked her the reason for being emotionally unavailable. She reflected on her past relationship and mentioned her abusive partner. That was the reason why she couldn't trust people easily. Later, she moved abroad and put herself first.
Love Is Blind: France star Charles asked her if she had been able to distance herself from "all that."
"I believe that we all have three great loves in our lives. The first love is, well, the first love, first time you have feelings for someone. The second love is the most challenging one. And the third love is supposed to be a healthy, mature relationship, the one that allows you to build an empire, you know?" shared Julie.
Listening to her thoughts, Charles was surprised. He told her that it was unexpected.
"For real, it's to feel so much, honestly. Like, how did you take the lead in the conversation? It's crazy. You're the one who has shaken me up the most here," replied Charles.
He joked and told the cameras that he wanted to "just go around" and "pop into her pod." Julie also joined the joke and said that she wished to break down the wall to see Charles.
In his private confession, Love Is Blind: France star Charles said that Julie didn't hold back. The two had the same mindset for that experience. He also decided not to hide anything from her. He noted that he was "really moved" by seeing Julie sharing things with him. He felt that it brought him a "lot closer" to her.
He also confessed to the cameras about his other connection, Sarah. He stated that she doesn't necessarily want to show who she really is.
