Prime Video’s Good Boy premiered on May 31, 2025, and with the release of every new episode, it quickly became one of the platform's biggest hits. Recently, with the release of episode 4, titled Float Like a Butterfly, the K-drama has achieved an all-time high rating.
There are several reasons — from the characters' interpersonal relationships to the high-octane action sequences, that make Good Boy one of the best shows on streaming right now. However, last week’s episode, where the team began to follow Min Joo-yeong for the crimes he committed, was one of the best moments. It became more thrilling during the climactic scene of episode 4, when Park Bo-gum’s Yoon Dong-ju chases Joo-yeong through the rooftops in a narrow alley.
Other than the intense action scene, the team showed strong coordination as they tightened the net around Joo-yeong to prevent him from escaping the country.
More on this in our story.
Park Bo-gum’s Dong-ju chases Joo-yeong through the rooftops in Good Boy
After his cousin’s death in episode 3 and finding the golden watch that he saw on Joo-yeong, he confronted Joo-yeong, but couldn’t persuade Man-sik to look into the case. However, when they found a connection between Lee Jin-su’s car accident, the illegal car trade with Min Joo-yeong, the newly formed Special police team of former athletes springs into action.
In episode 4, while Dong-ju tries to stall Joo-yeong, the others find the vintage car used to kill Jin-su, giving them more evidence to catch Joo-yeong. On the other hand, Joo-yeong also taunts Dong-ju about Kyung-il’s death before departing in his car. However, he doesn’t get to go far in the narrow lanes of a residential area as the team begins to chase him.
While Jong-hyeon follows him with his car, Dong-ju takes a more dangerous yet innovative shortcut to reach the culprit. As he notices Joo-yeong’s car, Dong-ju leaps through rooftops to reach him quickly. Furthermore, it isn’t just rooftops; Dong-ju follows him by running behind his car, leaping through several rooftops, and the chase intensifies from there.
The chase ends at the intersection as Joo-yeong drives recklessly through the school zone alley, and Han-na stands in front of his car. Seizing the perfect moment, Dong-ju wraps his arms with clothes found on one of the rooftops and jumps into Joo-yeong’s car, damaging the car and injuring himself.
The scene depicted Dong-ju’s urgency to catch Joo-yeong, who is responsible for killing his cousin and has been committing various other crimes. The scene also highlights the newly formed team’s synergy and how exciting it will be to see them finally work on catching criminals. While it is not revealed if they would be able to send Joo-yeong behind bars, the investigation and the intense chase to catch him proved that they won’t let him go easily.
Good Boy has depicted some high-octane fight scenes since the beginning, and this nail-biting chase scene, where we were kept guessing if they would be able to catch Joo-yeong or not, raised the thrill and exhilaration, making it one of the best episodes of Good Boy so far.
