Netflix’s Love Is Blind UK debuted last year as the British spin-off of the popular dating experiment. The show followed men and women forming connections in “pods” without seeing each other, leading to engagements and marriages tested in the real world.
Season 1 introduced six main couples who made it to the altar. Of these, only two, Jasmine and Bobby, and Nicole and Benaiah, have remained together. The other four couples, Sabrina and Steven, Demi and Ollie, Maria and Tom, and Catherine and Freddie, ended their relationships either before or soon after the wedding ceremonies.
With Love Is Blind UK season 2 now streaming, here’s a detailed look at who stayed committed and who parted ways after the experiment.
Love Is Blind UK: Season 1’s surviving couples
Jasmine and Bobby emerged as one of Love Is Blind UK’s rare success stories. Speaking to Netflix’s Tudum in August 2025, Jasmine said she wanted Bobby to see “the good, the bad, and the ugly,” which helped them build a strong foundation despite her mother’s early reservations.
“I didn’t want to hide anything from my future partner, so I felt like Bobby appreciated every single part of me,” she explained.
Bobby added that over time, Jasmine’s mother, Marissa, “has warmed” to him, and they’ve “become very close.” The couple also revealed they are expecting a baby this year.
Nicole and Benaiah had a turbulent path before becoming engaged. Nicole initially paired with Sam but later pursued Benaiah, leading to tensions. Speaking to Tudum, Benaiah admitted the process was “always a challenge,” but the year after filming allowed them to grow stronger.
“The year of downtime from everything behind closed doors was really good for us,” he said.
They are now planning their wedding.
The season 1 Love Is Blind UK couples who couldn’t make it last
Sabrina and Steven, who married in the Love Is Blind UK season finale, split less than a year later. In August 2025, Steven told Tudum they “just weren’t compatible” and that distance worsened their issues, while Sabrina called the relationship “too good to be true.” They are now seeking an annulment.
Demi and Ollie left the altar unmarried but initially said they would continue dating. Speaking to Tudum, Ollie confirmed they are now “best friends” who “speak quite regularly” and “wind each other up” on social media. Demi reflected that while she fell in love with Ollie, she
“fell in love with myself so much deeper.”
Maria and Tom decided not to marry due to differing views on careers, finances, and household roles. In an August 2025 Tudum interview, Maria said she felt “a bit deceived,” believing Tom told her what she wanted to hear. She recalled him saying,
“I like the look of a traditional marriage… I do believe in gender roles,”
but claimed he did not fully match her expectations in real life.
Catherine and Freddie also ended things at the altar. Catherine accepted, but Freddie declined, later explaining to Tudum that he “felt a bit suffocated” and only gained “clarity” after having time away from filming. Catherine alleged that Freddie had been inconsistent, telling her family one thing and her “another… off camera.”
