Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 6 recap: Bunny's attack and Kyle's downfall

Only four episodes are left in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, as the sixth episode was released on November 30, 2025. Titled "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?", the episode sees the fallout from the previous episode's closing minutes as Mike and Bunny deal with the repercussions of the train fire.

It seems that the walls are closing in on Mike as he is attacked from two sides. He has to deal with the loss of Bunny's train in last week's episode. Apart from that, he is also worried for Kyle, who was taken out of solitary confinement in the fifth episode. There, Mike is at his lowest in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 6.

Here's what happens in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 6:

• Bunny gets shot

Bunny and Lamar, his driver, are driving to meet Mike and Moses to discuss their next action after the cartels' attack in the previous episode. However, things take a dark turn for Bunny when their supposedly bulletproof car is ambushed by assailants hiding in the woods on a highway.

Bunny was shot in a currently unknown part of his body, but it was damaging enough to land him in critical condition. This attack is hinted to be a message to Bunny and his allies, as the shooters hide in the woods as soon as Lamar fires back at them. He calls 911 immediately after the assailants retreat into the woods.

• The Cartels might not have attacked Bunny

While Mike believed that the Cartel was behind Bunny's attack initially, he suspects that this ambush came from a close ally rather than their enemies. Mike learns that Lamar was aware of this attack and discovers that he was working for Moses. Fans believe that Moses may have wanted Bunny to live to convince his allies to declare war on the Cartel.

Furthermore, Mike also thinks that Moses might be behind last week's freight train fire, too.

• Mike learns more from Cortez

Mike visits Cortez, and this interaction makes him realize some things. The Cartel was not after Bunny. Instead, their target is Moses, who brutally killed some of the Cartel's allies, the Russians. Moses has been escalating the situation with the Cartel since the beginning of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, to turn the town into a battleground and rebuild it from the ground up.

• Kyle is attacked in gen pop

Mike finally learns that Kyle has been thrown in gen pop in this episode, and the first advice the former gives the latter is to stay away from Merle Callahan's racist gang. Some guards grab Kyle when he is in the prison yard under the pretext of taking him back to ad seg. However, he is taken to an unknown location where the Colombians brutally attack him.

But one of Callahan’s men helps Kyle escape. The man also informs Kyle that he has Callahan’s support. This scene probably plants the seeds of a wedge between Kyle and Mike.

• Mike makes a deal

Hobbs threw Kyle in gen pop in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 5 to get back at Mike for ambushing her. Now, Mike and Hobbs meet again in this episode, with the former with no leverage. Hobbs offers Mike that she will send Kyle back to the safety of ad seg in exchange for Moses' arrest. Mike, in exchange, also wants Callahan back in gen pop.

She transfers Kyle back to ad seg, but it is clear that Callahan is not back in gen pop.

• Mike tricks Moses

Mike manages to convince Frank Moses to let the KPD interrogate him as a show to Hobbs that he has kept his end of the deal. But things take a turn for Frank as a man attempts to shoot him in the police station. However, this entire situation might be orchestrated by Moses, making Mike realize that Bunny might be in danger.

This scene sets Moses up as one of the biggest threats to Mike and his loved ones.
