Physical: Asia Quest 3: What happened during the Hanging Endurance Task?

The third challenge from Physical: Asia Quest 3 was the hanging Endurance task. For that, participants saw various rings hanging from the tree. Everyone was curious about the challenge.

Soon, the narrator revealed the task:

"It is a game in which players suspend themselves via hanging ropes. To do so, they will hold two of the rings with their hands, while using the other two rings as supportive footholds."

Participants were also supposed to follow the rules while going through the Hanging Endurance challenge:

"However, holding one ring with two hands, or hooking one ring around both feet, is not allowed. After a certain amount of time has passed, players must release one of their hands. After some more time has passed, they will be asked to change their positions."

Physical: Asia teams chose their participating contestants. They were:

  1. Team Australia: Alexandra, a fitness coach,
  2. Team Korea: Choi Seung-yeon, Crossfitter,
  3. Team Philippines: Mark Mugen, Sambo athlete.

Team Korea's Choi Seung-yeon talked about the challenge and how determined she was:

"When you get down to it, it's just a battle of endurance. Whoever can hold out the longest will win. It's all psychological, and luckily, I've got a strong mentality, so I'm ready. I plan on being the last one standing."

Team Australia's Alexandra noted that she wanted to be the key essential player from their team.

"I'm going to die on these things before I give up," she confessed.

After the players got themselves settled with the grip on the ropes, the challenge started. They were elevated to a few feet during the task. At first, players from Team Philippines and Team Korea struggled. However, Team Australia's Alex already found her footing. Everyone stayed steady until the first five minutes passed.

At 30-minute mark, participants were asked to let go of one of their hands from the grip. After letting go of one hand, Team Australia struggled. However, soon, Mark found his balance. After some time, they were asked to keep their feet apart.

Team Korea's Choi Seung-yeon was the first one to fall after 02:42:45 hours. Her teammates cheered for her. Not long after, Team Australia's Alex also lost her grip. Team Philippines' Mark was still standing, which meant victory for Team Philippines.
