The Boys Season 5 has wrapped filming, according to actress Isabella Crovetti, if she is to be believed. While Isabella herself did not appear in any season of The Boys, her brother Cameron Crovetti has played the role of Homelander's son Ryan Butcher since the second season of the series. It appears that Isabella Crovetti joined her younger brother, Cameron, and posted images from the wrap party on her Instagram stories.
She posted not one, but two images from the wrap party of The Boys Season 5, one of which features Cameron posing behind a Jenga tower.
Has The Boys Season 5 completed filming? Isabella Crovetti's Instagram Images explained:

Fans of Prime Video's dark and gritty superhero satire were happy to learn that The Boys Season 5 has wrapped filming. They learned so, thanks to Isabella Crovetti's Instagram stories, as she posted two images from the wrap party. The first image showed a TV screen with the words "The Boys Season 5 Wrap Party June 21, 2025".
Another image showed Ryan Butcher actor Cameron Crovetti standing in front of the screen facing the camera, and making an NSFW gesture.
These images suggest that we might get more information about The Boys Season 5 in the coming months. Moreover, the Gen V Season 2 finale will set up the events of season 5, much like the season 1 finale post-credit scene set up the virus storyline in The Boys Season 4.
The Boys' showrunner, Eric Kripke, recently spoke about the time he almost quit the series before the first season and feeling anxious about the season 5 finale.
Eric Kripke's recent comments explained:
Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan headlined an episode of Sony's Creator to Creator podcast on June 9, 2025. In that episode, Kripke had a juicy behind-the-scenes factoid about The Boys. Kripke revealed that he came too close to quitting the series while working on the first season.
The reason for this was Amazon's objection to the idea that Chace Crawford's The Deep has inappropriate relations with aquatic life. Kripke's exact words were:
“The first season of The Boys was definitely the hardest one — and I had a wonderful staff — but it’s like, I’m learning how to do the show, they’re learning how to write the show. And then on top of all of that, we were a tone that sort of hadn’t been done in television before and so, the amount of Amazon saying, ‘You can’t imply that The Deep f***ed a dolphin.’ [Laughs]. You would have laughed at how hard I pushed back on that. I was like, ‘Well, I’m going home then. Cuz if you don’t want him to f*** a dolphin, then what are we even doing here? Then clearly we’re not making the same show.’””
In the same podcast, the showrunner also became vulnerable and spoke about feeling anxious about The Boys Season 5 finale:
"I am in a fair amount of terror about a series finale. You can count in one, maybe two hands, the truly great series finales… the graveyard is literally filled with terrible series finales. How do you tie up the stories? How do you do it in a way that is emotional and satisfying? How do you do it in a way that creates — frankly — the illusion that some detail that you dropped in Season 1 or Season 2 is now suddenly coming back to pay off? You could have the greatest show for years, but if you stiff that ending, and that's what's sending everyone out in the parking lot, they go, 'Oh, maybe that show wasn't that good'."
