The Rainmaker Episode 7 recap: Rudy takes the fall for Kelly's disastrous decision

In The Rainmaker Episode 7, Rudy helps Kelly settle in at Dot's house. However, the threat looming around her follows her to the house, as Cliff finds her in the house and tries to attack her once more. But Rudy defends Kelly from her husband, who is then shot dead by Kelly.

Elsewhere, Sarah is asked by Brad to meet Jackie's ex and find out about the file that she stole from the hospital. Furthermore, Bruiser also learns more about why her father was put behind bars.

The Rainmaker Episode 7 recap: Rudy gets arrested

In Episode 7 of The Rainmaker, Kelly is seen getting better while living with Dot. She is enjoying herself, while Rudy also pays a visit to her in Dot's house. However, Rudy isn't the only one. After Dot brings up the subject of Divorce, Kelly gets emotional and goes to grab tissues in the bathroom, where she encounters Cliff, hiding.

Cliff tries to grab her but fails, and he then gets into a scuffle with Rudy, and just as he was about to kill Rudy, Kelly shoots him with the gun Rudy gave her for her protection. Rudy decides to take the fall for her and is arrested. Deck informs Bruiser about Rudy in jail, and as he goes and questions about it, Rudy lies and tells her that it was just self-defense.

The Rainmaker Episode 7 recap: Sarah meets Jackie's ex

In Episode 5 of The Rainmaker, Jackie went to her ex, Charlie's, house, and wanted to get Amber's help in calling the police. However, their plan failed, and Amber was attacked by Pritcher, which left her in a coma.

In Episode 7, Brad fires the private investigator Jane Allen. However, Jane refuses to do so as she wants to end the case as Pritcher attacked her and even killed her partner. Brad tells her that she does not look good to be following up on her job and lets her go.

Before leaving, she tells him about the stolen files that Jackie had been hiding and might be crucial to proving Pritcher's criminal activities. While Brad dismisses her, he later tells Sarah to meet Charlie and find out about the flash drive.

Sarah visits Charie in the hospital, where he had been taking care of his comatose wife, and tries to find out about the flash drive. Charlie denies knowing about anything of that regard, but as Sarah leaves and he goes back to his wife's room, it is revealed that he has the flash drive that Jackie hid in his house.

The Rainmaker Episode 7 recap: Bruiser gets Rudy out of prison

Bruiser pays for Rudy's bail in Episode 7 of The Rainmaker, and later visits the crime scene with her team. They learn that Rudy was lying about killing Cliff. Bruiser later confronts Rudy and Kelly. She scolds Rudy for lying to her and asks Kelly if she really wants Rudy to take the fall for her. Kelly denies, and the team then meets Quinn.

Rudy confesses to lying, and Bruiser tells Quinn the whole truth. She tells him about how the system will treat this type of case, and convinces him to drop charges against Rudy and not press charges against Kelly as well. Kelly gets all the money her husband had left behind and decides to start a new life.

In the episode, Bruiser meets with Quinn again and finds out that the only evidence that they had against her father in the Rosalie case was her father talking to Prince, the owner of the bar where Rudy works, in code language, which resulted in him getting arrested.

At the end of the episode, Prince is seen with Leo, who pays him and asks him to find Pritcher and Jackie, revealing that Prince might be on Tinley Britt's side.
