Who is going to appear in Peacemaker Season 2? Fans speculate possibilities on a Reddit post

Peacemaker Season 2 premiered on August 21, 2025, with an epic episode that will be remembered by many DCU fans. Besides bringing the 11th Street Kids’ stories about still being left out from becoming heroes even after saving the world, the premiere episode also showcased numerous easter eggs and cameos.

From cameos of Justice League members to introducing more comic characters like White Rabbit, the first episode also referenced many other characters, making fans speculate that the cameos of more DC heroes and villains might be a part of the upcoming episodes of Peacemaker Season 2.

These include speculations for characters such as Superman and Supergirl, Lex Luthor, and Rick Jr., as well.

Who will appear in Peacemaker Season 2? Reddit fans speculate

The premiere episode of Peacemaker Season 2 surprised many with its references and cameos of characters that have already been introduced and also comic characters that appeared for the first time on screen. While Peacemaker might have failed to join the Justice Gang, we might still see more DC superheroes as fans speculate on more cameos in future episodes.

One of the fans is sure that Superman will definitely make a cameo this season in the James Gunn show, only if the budget allows. They are also hoping to see Creature Commandos cameos.

A fan named Prime-TF wrote:

"Superman is gonna appear definitely I think. If not as a CGI superman with his back turned or a batman cameo with a similar idea. Honestly I think guys like David is up for reappearing as superman. But it depends on the budget. I'm actually hoping for bloodsport, king shark, or any from the creature commandos in live action."

Another fan is sure that Blue Beetle will make a cameo.

K3egan penned:

"Blue beetle is absolutely appearing. Even if they don't have him out of the suit, they already have the suit and at least one suit actor for vigilante/white dragon."

Several fans are sure that Lex Luthor will make a cameo at some point in Peacemaker Season 2 due to Belle Reve's mention in the premiere episode.

Woppatown shared:

"I have a feeling Lex will definitely be showing up. His lackey’s were in trailers, this season revolves around a pocket universe which he had, and the preview of the next episode shows Rick Flag saying that he’s going to Belle Reve to speak to a prisoner."

One fan named montepinarium, simply named all the characters they speculate would appear in the series and wrote:

"Booster Gold, Blue Beetle (Ted or Jaime), Rick Flag, Lex Luthor, Bloodsport and Ratcatcher 2."

With all the guesses thrown in, one of the fans, ChanceFresh, took a long guess that since the premiere episode referenced so much about the Batman universe, they hope he also gets to appear in Season 2 of Peacemaker and wrote:

"I mean, with all the references to Batman, I feel like he should pop up in some form. Maybe as a shadowy figure on the news or something."

James Gunn on Superman’s appearance on Peacemaker Season 2

Viewers noticed that in the recap scene, Jack Snyder’s Justice League was replaced by Gunn’s Justice Gang, which also showed the silhouettes of Superman (David Corenswet) and Supergirl (Milly Alcock). When asked by Brandon Davis if they were really on the sets to film the scene at the premiere of Peacemaker Season 2, Gunn shared:

"No, I used plates…Nobody was in the shot. I used plates of everybody. So, I reshot, you know, we used plates from the first season. I shot Guy and Hawkgirl by themselves. So, it was just a bunch of magic."

While he might have used plates to depict the superheroes, fans are still hopeful of seeing Superman pop up in Season 2 of the series.
