FUBAR Season 2 premiered on June 12, 2025, with all 8 episodes of the series dropping simultaneously. There was a gap of almost two years between the first and the second season, and now that Season 2 has come to an end, fans are naturally waiting for updates on the next installment.

Season 1 ended with Luke and Emma going into hiding as their CIA agent identities were revealed by Boro. Besides that, another key revelation of the first season was Luke discovering that his daughter Emma, whom he had gone to rescue as his final mission, was also a CIA agent.

The father-daughter duo were previously unaware of their similar occupation, and by the end of the first season, as they fled with all their loved ones, an interesting premise was set for the next installment. FUBAR Season 2 introduced a new villain, and after Luke successfully saved the world from him, questions about a third season have naturally arisen.

However, despite the second season having some loose ends, Netflix has not yet officially announced any update regarding FUBAR Season 3.

As mentioned previously, there have been no official updates from Netflix regarding the renewal of the show for another season. Given that the last season aired only a few days back, it might be a little too early to expect any update. Moreover, Netflix considers several factors before renewing a show.

Viewership numbers in the first week, overall popularity of the show, are some of the key points that are thoroughly evaluated by Netflix before a show is renewed for another season. In the case of FUBAR, the evaluation of these parameters might take a while, several weeks or months, before any updates on the next season are dropped.

An interesting factor about FUBAR Season 2 that might work in its favor, if reviewed for renewal, is a higher Rotten Tomatoes score than its previous season. The first season of the Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer received 68% on the audience tomatometer, whereas the second season has received a score of 77% with 50+ reviews already up.

While more audience members watching the show might bring down the score, right now it is looking better than the first season, which is definitely a good sign for its renewal status.

Show creator Nick Santora has also not spoken publicly about the renewal of the show. He had previously spoken about the inclusion of Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast of season 2 and how exciting an opportunity it presented for the storyline of that season.

With no update from the network or the creators, the only thing that the fans can do now is wait for an official update regarding the future of the show.

FUBAR Season 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix.
