10 Rip and Beth moments from Yellowstone can give you couple goals

10) Their first time sharing a screen (Season 1 Episode 1)

The first scene between Rip and Beth occurs in the premiere episode of Yellowstone when, while looking for John, Rip finds Beth in the Dutton home. Beth’s teasing and Rip’s nervousness introduced us to the dynamic between the two that we would come to love and root for in the next episodes.

Rip asked Beth to go to the music festival in this episode, which Beth refused to go to, but in her own style. The camaraderie between these two shared in their first scene set the stage for their epic story that followed.

9) Beth and Rip’s first date (Season 1 Episode 2)

Rip convinces Beth to go on a date when he suggests drinking whiskey and watching wolves kill Elk, that’s the type of date Beth would certainly agree with. Therefore, he takes her to watch the wolves while she drinks her whiskey and confesses to him that she had done some wild things on her first dates, but this one tops everything that she had done. It's her way of saying she is impressed.

The date becomes even weirder and funnier when Beth gets out of the car and runs toward the wolves eating an Elk, while screaming.

8) Rip cooks breakfast for Beth (Season 3 Episode 2)

Only Beth and Rip can make a moment like eating breakfast romantic in a dramatic show like Yellowstone. As Beth wakes up, she sees Rip preparing breakfast for her. It's called Fried Bread, and Beth has never eaten it, so Rip explains to her how to eat it– it's his mother’s recipe.

While she eats, she asks him why he isn't eating. He says he has already eaten and just wants to watch her eat her breakfast. This makes Beth embarrassed as she tries to hide her mouth, but Rip gently lowers her hand, and they both smile at each other while Beth continues to eat.

This is one of the important moments in their relationship, as Beth is finally letting someone see through her and take care of her in this way. Rip’s love for Beth is unconditional and can make the hotheaded woman blush like no one else.

Another romantic moment between Rip and Beth happened in the same episode of Yellowstone. While most of the family was out camping, leaving Rip and Beth alone on the ranch, Rip heard a wolf howling nearby. He takes his rifle and approaches the location the sound was coming from and finds it was just Beth.

She confesses to him that this is the first time she is alone on the ranch, and they can do anything they want. The funny tone in the moment changes to romantic when Rip switches the lights on and begins to play music before picking Beth up and slowly dancing with her.

In this episode of Yellowstone Season 2, we get a glimpse of how it all began. How two broken and angry teenagers developed this bond that helped them suffer from so much, and yet found each other again. The episode showed a teenager, Beth, who was dealing with the death of her mother, and Rip, who was being bullied by the older cowboys for being an orphan.

While Beth teases Rip just like she did in the premiere episode, they both cannot deny the feelings that have begun to form. At night, she visits him in his room, and they share their awkward first kiss. Their connection was strong since they were teenagers, and this episode proved that they were meant to be together.

The proposal scene was unlike any other scene. It had humor and promises to love each other for eternity, combined so well that it suited both Beth and Rip. In episode 7 of Yellowstone season 3, John asks Beth if she will marry Rip. She tells him that if Rip asks her, she will. John reminds her that Rip would never ask her to marry him because he would have to ask him first, and Rip would never put him in that position. John tells his daughter that if she is happy with Rip, she would have to ask him, and he gives her the formal permission to marry Rip.

Beth is waiting for Rip in their house when he comes back from a trip that was anything but successful. While he chugs his beer down, Beth gives him a black engagement ring, as she thinks he might not like diamonds, and asks him to marry her, but on one condition, she says:

"The only thing I ask is that you outlive me so that I never have to live another day without you."

Rip would never say no to such a romantic proposal and says yes, adding:

"I would’ve liked some diamonds, actually."

While creating this epic love story, Beth and Rip had to go through several bumps, which were mostly caused by Beth, and she realizes it. In the premiere episode of season 5 of Yellowstone, Beth sincerely apologizes to Rip for her mistreatment of him when they were teenagers.

She confesses to him that if she were not so difficult to handle, their love story would have started way sooner than it had, and it's because of her that they had to go through so many struggles in their relationship. Her sincere apology made it easier for Rip to forgive her, as he didn’t actually blame her and found their love story perfect in every sense.

She kidnapped a priest at gunpoint, even though she is not catholic, and got married to Rip as her father walked her down. The wedding was everything one would expect Beth Dutton would do, and Rip, always ready to accept every version of Beth’s unconventional whims, did not try to understand and agreed to go through with it, binding the two for a life of love and happiness.
