The Young and the Restless is giving viewers an early holiday gift in the form of a preview of the show's Christmas Eve episode. Fans of Victor, Nikki, Jack, and Diane will be getting a holiday treat!
The Young and the Restless, Christmas Eve is coming
A press release reveals that on the Wednesday, December 24, 2025, episode, of The Young and the Restless, "Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas." Meanwhile, "Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters)" get into the holiday spirit with a romantic evening at home!
It's not uncommon for soap characters to put differences aside to celebrate the holidays. It's hard to believe, though, that the ongoing war between Victor and Jack will subside by the time St. Nick is ready to come down people's chimneys!
The Abbotts are currently quite concerned that Victor has not only Cane's (Billy Flynn) AI program that could be used against them and Jabot Cosmetics, but also, Victor, Adam (Mark Grossman), and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) have the power of Newman Media behind them.
Jack and his family have already taken a hit this week from Newman Media. Might another be coming? The family has the option of going after Victor and his media company with its very own, Abbott Communications, which just had a successful launch party.
Merry Christmas, Victor Newman
Goodness knows, Christmas hasn't always been Victor's favorite holiday. When he was a little boy, his mother, Cora (Dorothy McGuire), was forced to leave her young son, Christian Miller, at an orphanage because she was destitute and could only afford to keep one of her sons. She chose to keep Matt (Robert Parucha), who was younger.
Poor little Christian hoped that his mother would come back for him, but she never did. He grew up and became a self-made multi-millionaire. Christian decided to put his past behind him and renamed himself "Victor Newman" -- literally becoming a "new man."
Nikki found Cora and attempted to reconcile Victor with his mother. At first, Victor was furious that Nikki had done this since he had resentment towards his mom. In time, Victor and his mother reconciled before she passed away.

Jack and Diane likely won't let Victor's attack on their family hamper their holiday spirit. Victor might have Newman Media, the AI program, and his fortune as weapons to use against Jack, but the Abbotts have something arguably more powerful -- a strong, united family. Jack and Diane are a formidable pair and Victor's in for a fight if he thinks he can win!
