After months of planning and decades in the making, Danny and Cricket, played by Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell, are finally getting married again! Their marriage was torn apart by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and her lies. By the time her machinations were exposed, Chris had moved on to a new life as Mrs. Paul Williams, Paul's (Doug Davidson) wife. Danny took custody of his son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei), and left town.

Last year, Danny returned to Genoa City, and he and Christine renewed their romance. Earlier this year, he proposed marriage, and Cricket happily accepted! Today's the day they are set to right a wrong from many years ago!

Fans are looking forward to seeing Tricia Cast and Patty Weaver, who play, respectively, Nina and Gina, back for the wedding. Their return was announced a while ago, and now, the two fan favorites are going to be back on our screens. There's buzz that Nina and Gina won't be there, just nodding and getting ready to throw rice. In particular, Nina is coming back to Genoa City for the first time since her son, Chance (Conner Floyd), died in France.

We expect to see Danny and Cricket's day go off without a hitch. But will it? Phyllis already tried to disrupt Cricket's bridal shower. In fact, she kind of did, by blasting the bride and making fun of the fact that she didn't have many attendees. Phyllis fell apart afterwards when she encountered Danny as she questioned why she does what she does.

Danny kindly invited Phyllis down to the jazz lounge for the party, but she passed. Will Phyllis stay away from the big day? If the event occurs at the Genoa City Athletic Club, well, that happens to be where Phyllis lives! She could simply claim she was coming home when she encountered the Romalottis on their special day. Knowing Phyllis, she'll at least want to do something to make her presence known.
