On the Wednesday, August 6, 2025 episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor got rid of Audra, Kyle gave Claire the scoop on Audra and Victor’s plan, and Billy had a showdown with Jill.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

At the tack house, an irate Claire was still fuming over Victor and his treatment of Kyle. He attempted to calm her down to no avail. Claire wondered if Adam’s apartment was still available.
Kyle shared with Claire that he was happy that she was ready to live with him, but that they shouldn’t be reckless. Claire said it’s Victor’s fault that they’re being that way. Kyle said he gets it because he’s watched Victor be against his dad since he was a kid. Claire said that what Victor wants no longer matters.
Kyle gave in to Claire calling Adam about his home. Claire had a question first. She wanted to know what happened between Kyle and Audra in Nice. Claire questioned if Kyle truly left his charger in Audra’s room. Kyle said the fragrance war between Jabot and Vibrante was dead. He added that Audra had the worst of intentions.
Claire said nothing could be as bad as losing her father. Kyle said he felt it was important for Claire to have all the info. He told her that Victor funded Vibrante because Audra agreed to help ruin Kyle and Claire's relationship. Kyle said there was no doubt in his mind. He said that Victor loved Claire. She wondered if he was excusing her. Kyle said he started to put the pieces together when Audra suggested that she and Kyle work together. Claire wondered what else Audra was going to do in addition to flirting with Kyle. Kyle said the plan was for Audra to seduce him. “Never mind that she’s with Nate,” an aghast Claire said. Kyle suspected. “Nothing happened,” Kyle maintained. “I would never betray you, Claire." Then, Kyle pulled Claire into an embrace.
Kyle told Claire that he called Audra out on her moves in Nice. He added that Victor admitted no wrongdoing. Claire said it came down to her pain for Victor's happiness. Kyle cautioned that Audra was still a threat even if Victor dropped her. Claire welcomed the challenge.
Meanwhile, Victor ordered Audra out of his home as he had told her he was pulling money from Vibrante because she failed to paint Kyle in a bad light. Audra proclaimed that she wasn’t going anywhere.
Audra asked for another chance. Victor wondered why Audra was still there. She made a strong case that their plan could still work. “Don’t back off now,” she pleaded. “The idea has been planted, and it will be in the back of her mind."
“You’ve had your chance, and have failed, and now, we are done,” responded Victor. Audra persisted. But Victor demanded back every dime. She said you can’t do that. “Who’s going to stop me, you?” Victor wondered.
At Crimson Lights, Nikki approached Jack. Nikki quipped that she’d take safe and mundane in Genoa City over what went down in France any time. Jack agreed with her sentiment with the caveat that their hometown was quiet. Nikki lamented that the trip cost them Chance. She hoped that Katherine was looking out for him on the other side. Jack assured her that that was happening, but they had to be on guard against Cane. Nikki said she felt like they were trapped in another maze.
Jack shared his concern over Claire losing Cole with Nikki. Nikki said Vicki was with Cole when he died. Jack theorized that Claire and Victoria were lucky to have Nikki. She added that Cane wasn’t about to give up on what he wants.
Nikki begged Jack never to say the name “Aristotle Dumas” ever again. She shared that she’d give Chancellor to Cane if he got Nick to safety. Nikki admitted it wasn’t her finest moment. She added that Victor doesn’t know, and she wasn't going to tell him. Jack couldn’t believe that Cane would hold Nikki to an agreement like that. Nikki said that we have to find a way to stop him. She wondered if the Abbotts and the Newmans could work together.
Jack said there was no way he’d ever work with Victor, given his response to their "lost weekend" at the club. Nikki dangled Claire and Kyle’s happiness as bait, but Jack didn’t nibble. Jack said he’d figure out how to handle Cane.
Jack and Nikki gushed over photos of Harrison and Summer. Their mood was dampened by Audra’s entrance. Nikki referred to Kyle confronting Victor over his financing of Vibrante and why. Jack quipped that Nikki wanted him to work alongside Victor against Cane. “No, thank you,” Jack said.
The Jabot executive said that Claire can’t count on Victor. He countered Nikki’s assertion that Victor came from a place of caring. Audra overheard Nikki wishing out loud that they could get Audra out of town. She said she wasn’t leaving.
Nikki told Audra off. She said Audra was filled with malice. Nikki wished Jack a good day and went on her way. “Do you agree with Nikki?” Audra asked. Jack blasted Audra for trying to seduce Kyle, as he was committed to Claire. Audra asked if Kyle was a lost little lamb with no free will. She suggested Jack hand Kyle, his adult son, another trust fund or a house. “Because I’m the villain here,” Audra shrugged. “How terrifying for you all.”
Audra claimed that the rich of Genoa City were the shameless ones. “What is it you really hate, Jack? My actions? Or is it that when you look at me, you see who you would be if you also came from nothing?” Then, she stormed out.
Jill called Billy out via video call for not even mentioning Chance’s name, Jill’s grandson, and Billy’s nephew. Billy softened a bit and told Jill that he was with Chance when he died while trying to protect Billy. He asked his mother if she was okay. Jill asked if he truly cared. She wanted to know why Billy didn’t call her over a death in the family, but he called her over business.
Jill and Billy rehashed her selling Chancellor to Victor. Jill said that Cane did call her about Chance and listened to her cry. “The world really is out to get you, isn’t it, Billy?” Jill said to her son. She admitted she’d known about Cane’s identity for quite some time.
Jill said she got close to Colin when he was dying despite his past crimes. “For many years, Colin made me laugh,” Jill said. She found a man who had changed. He wanted forgiveness so he could die in peace. Jill said she didn’t call Billy to share Cane’s success because he wanted nothing to do with her. She pointed out that Billy fired Lily, so she wasn’t sure why he was concerned with her. “Cane’s never wrong, is he?” Billy rhetorically asked. Jill said she’d weep for Billy if he felt this way. She begged Billy to stop. Billy said Jill still has Cane, and then he disconnected the call.
Phyllis tried to referee between Billy and Cane. Billy asked Cane if the offer was still on the table in light of his call to Jill. Cane said his offer stood. He said if he and Billy could put their differences aside, they could accomplish a lot. After Billy left, Cane said Billy needs to find a way to forgive Jill and also accept Cane’s relationship with Jill. Phyllis recommended family therapy. Billy wondered if Phyllis wanted Billy out of the picture to benefit herself. Phyllis shrugged off Billy’s assertion that he let her go from Abbott Communications. “I am way too amazing to be a part of a little startup,” Phyllis stated.
She added that Billy wanted Cane to give him Chancellor Industries and then leave him alone. “Trust me, I’m right,” Phyllis said. Cane picked up a mini toy train that Billy had brought him. She asked if he was getting sentimental over a choo-choo train. “Did you not like the fruit basket?” Phyllis asked, referring to the gift she brought him. Cane said that Billy puts thought into things by bringing him the toy train. Cane said he could help Billy and Jill reconcile. Phyllis asked why he cared.
Cane said he and Jill spent a lot of time together during Colin’s final stages. He added that Jill needs Billy more than ever as she has lost Chance. Phyllis maintained that Billy has a chip on his shoulder. Phyllis asked what Cane was trying to do. She predicted he’d fail at trying to get Jill and Billy to reconcile. Cane said he didn’t think the mother and son were broken. He asked Phyllis if she was in. Phyllis said yes. Cane told Phyllis to leave Billy to him.
Billy ran into Victor at Society. They traded barbs over not supporting their loved ones when they needed them the most, as Victoria lost Cole, and Jill lost Chance. Victor said Jill was a friend of hers. Victor asked Billy if he could imagine a good man like Chance being gone, and yet, Billy is still there. Billy suggested he could become a bigger thorn in Victor’s side. “I have a hatchet,” Victor countered.
