Audra met Victor at the Genoa City Athletic Club. She updated him on her company and the developing plans to bring it to life. Victor seemed more focused on how Audra’s plan to smear Kyle Abbott was going. She assured Victor that her plan was in progress. Audra asked how Victor’s plan to make sure Kyle and Audra were at Dumas’s party in France was proceeding. Victor told Audra to pack her things as she and Kyle were both on the list. Unseen by the two, Holden was listening nearby.

Audra tried kissing up to Victor, but he told her that he wasn’t interested in flattery – just results. He told her to convince Kyle to go on this trip. Audra assured Victor that that wouldn't be a problem. “Thank you for coming by,” Victor told Audra in a slightly dismissive tone.

On her way out, Holden said, “Bonjour!” to Audra. Holden shared that he knew what Audra was up to regarding Victor and Kyle. Audra said Holden had no right to judge her after what she knew about him. She told him he had no idea what she was doing, but Audra added that Holden knew what she was capable of when she crossed. Victor spied on the talk between Audra and Holden. Holden pointed out that the real Audra was coming out. She warned him not to get in her way.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack updated Kyle on work at Jabot. Their last successful project has resulted in even more work coming their way. Kyle said he could handle it while Jack was in France at Dumas’s estate. Jack applauded his son’s leadership. Kyle was curious as to why Dumas had invited so many power players to his home. Jack speculated that Dumas was planning a move, possibly against everyone in Genoa City.

Jack said being in an isolated part of France with Victor wasn’t something he was looking forward to. Kyle’s dad wanted his son to tell him what his deal with Victor was. A frantic call from Claire interrupted their talk. Kyle told his dad that Claire told him Cole had been transferred to a hospital in Chicago to deal with his pneumonia.

Then, Diane showed up with some shopping bags. She joked that she needed something new to wear to Dumas’s party, but added that what she’ll wear may be the least of their worries given the guest list. Diane shared Jack’s hopes that Cole would start to feel better.

Kyle’s parents asked their son to share the details about his deal with Victor. He said he would tell them, but not now. Kyle wanted Claire to learn about the contract first. Diane pointed out that Victor might use Cole’s illness to his advantage. She wouldn’t put it past Victor to use Cole to separate Kyle and Claire. “That’s cold,” Kyle said. Diane responded: “That’s Victor.”

Diane reminded Kyle that Victor had taken him away from them once. She didn’t want that to happen again. Kyle said that wouldn’t happen. He kissed his mom and said goodbye. After he left, Diane said she wanted to share her purchases with Jack. He noted that he might want to be surprised by what she wore.

Diane said that Dumas’s party could be the highlight of their trip. Jack cautioned that it was still business. “I want to figure out who Dumas is as much as you do,” Diane said. She pointed out she’d be attending this gala as not only Jack’s wife but as a power player in her own right. Jack noted that Diane had a bit of a glint in her eye as she was happy to have been invited to Dumas’s party.

Next, Diane told Jack she was ready to handle what Dumas was going to throw at them. Jack said he liked this side of Diane. He asked her out to lunch. Diane said they could brainstorm as to how to prepare for what Dumas has in store for them.

Then, Kyle interrupted Audra and Holden's tense moment. "I’ll leave you in Audra’s very capable hands,” Holden said as he exited. Kyle observed to Audra that she and Holden always seemed to be ready for some kind of conflict. Audra said whatever she and Holden had in Los Angeles was more on his end. Kyle said that was harsh. Audra shrugged that Holden wanted her just like Kyle did. Kyle changed the subject to addressing Audra’s business idea about joint marketing between Jabot and her company.

Audra let Kyle know she’d been invited to Dumas’s party. She suggested that they use his party for a competition – which product (hers or Kyle’s) would the special woman in Dumas’s life prefer?

Audra said the plan would get both companies a ton of eyeballs. Kyle pointed out that they’d need Dumas’s cooperation. He added that he’d run this by Jack. Audra said she’d rather have it be Kyle taking her on while Victor observed Audra’s interaction with Kyle from a distance. “This will be a mutually beneficial campaign,” Audra promised. She asked Kyle if he was afraid to play against her.

Kyle told Audra he couldn’t leave town. He needed to be around for Claire and Jabot. Audra said they’d be selling sex, and that’s why it needed to be Kyle who was there. Kyle saw her point, but he told her it wasn’t going to happen. She urged him to think it over. Kyle walked away. Then, Victor approached Audra. He cautioned her that she’d have to do better than that or else their whole business endeavor was for naught.

Later, Jack and Diane ran into Victor as he started to exit the GCAC. Diane informed her ex-husband that there was something he needed to know. Jack and Diane were going to Dumas's party. Victor mused that Jack and Diane’s presence at Dumas’s chateau would merely serve as a distraction. He then announced that he was the reason for the big event, as he and Dumas had done business together in the past.

Then, Victor suggested to Jack and Diane that they stay home from the party. Jack taunted Victor by saying he was looking forward to being shacked up in a chateau with Victor. He theorized that Dumas had other plans. “Just wait,” Victor forewarned.

Meanwhile, Damian met Lily at Crimson Lights and presented her with a gift. He hastened to add that the present he had for her was not romantic. Lily inquired about the gift. Damian joked that diamonds and sapphires were involved. He chuckled that she should see the look on her face. Lily said she was wary of expensive gifts from new people in her life.

Damian said he was grateful to Lily for not backing out on her word. Lily acknowledged that she’d been deceived by a CEO or two in her life. Damian thanked Lily for standing by him once he could no longer spy on Dumas the way that they had planned. “So, where’s my gift?” Lily playfully asked. Damian presented a box. Lily opened it. The gift was a signed version of the history of jazz. Damian says that when he saw it, he thought of Neil.

As Lily stared intently at the book, Damian feared he’d gone too far. Lily explained that she knew the book and that Neil once had a copy of it, but she couldn’t find it. “This is a wonderful gift,” Lily told Damian. Damian asked if this was the very book that Neil once had. Lily said that she’d go through the book to see if her dad’s notes might be in there.

Damian asked if Neil ever visited her in a spiritual sense. Lily said that yes, he does. Damian said the same thing about Jackson, the man he believed was his dad. Lily shared that she also had something for Damian.

Holden confronted Lily and Damian at Crimson Lights. He angrily recapped coming to town and pretending to be Damian. Holden told Damian he was glad he found his mom and new relatives, but he didn’t expect to be left out in the cold. “Have a nice life, Damian,” Holden said as he walked away.

Lily told Damian that she hoped he and Holden could work things out. Damian admitted that Holden was right. Lily pointed out that Holden was more upset about his and Damian’s friendship and not their business relationship. Damian said Holden was there for him. Now, he regretted what had happened.
