Lisa Rinna's eight-year run on the Bravo reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has come to an end.

Though soap fans know her best for a role on Days of our Lives, the rest of the world best knows Lisa Rinna as a reality star. At least for now, Rinna won't be appearing on soaps or reality television.

After eight seasons on the Bravo reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rinna has opted to exit the show.

"This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series," Rinna said in a statement to People. "It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!"

Rinna is said to have made up her mind about leaving the Housewives franchise "[a]fter weighing her options and business obligations." After discussion with execs at Bravo, Rinna and the network reached a mutual agreement to part ways -- even if social media pundits say otherwise.

Over the past year, Rinna has been torched on social media for controversial posts and rants. In a since-deleted July 2021 Instagram post, Rinna claimed that grief following the death of her mother Lois led to many of those posts. "I'm sorry if I've raged on you, about you ... it really has nothing to do with any of you," Rinna said.

Lisa Rinna made her debut as Days of our Lives' Billie Reed in September 1992. She exited the show in 1995 but made returns in 2002, 2003, 2012, 2013, and 2018. In 2021, Rinna reprised her role in the DAYS spinoff Beyond Salem, where she had a memorable encounter with doppelgänger drag queen Jackie Cox.

Elsewhere in her career, Rinna hosted Soap Talk from 2002 to 2006, she's penned three books -- including the New York Times best-seller Rinnavation -- and she has fashion and cosmetics lines.

How do you feel about Lisa Rinna exiting the Housewives franchise? Would you like to see Lisa Rinna return to Days of our Lives or Beyond Salem? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
