Daytime Royalty at Greta's Coronation

Look for a barrage of special guests on Days of our Lives during the ratings-crucial February Sweeps.

Beginning February 5th, Days of our Lives will trot out no less than ten former soap stars - several of them Emmy winners -- during the coronation of Princess Greta Von Amberg (played by Julianne Morris). The guests include Roscoe Born (ex Jim Thomasen, All My Children; ex Nick Rivers, The City; ex Robert Barr/Quinn Armitage, Santa Barbara), Ian Buchanan (ex James Warwick, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex Duke Lavery, General Hospital), Tyler Christopher (ex Nikolas Cassadine, GH), Bobbie Eakes (ex Macy Alexander, B&B), Maeve Kinkead (ex Vanessa Reardon, Guiding Light), Dorothy Lyman (ex Opal Purdy, AMC; ex Bonnie Roberts, B&B), Kathleen Noone (ex Ellen Chandler, AMC; ex Bette Katzenkazrahi, Sunset Beach) and John Reilly (ex Sean Donely, GH; ex Del Douglas, SunB).

Ian Buchanan will play Lord Sheraton. Victoria Wyndham (ex Rachel Cory, Another World) was to have played Lady Sheraton, but she reportedly turned down the job offer after learning that the part was a non-speaking role.

In a release from NBC, there's a bit of bad news for the cavalcade of daytime royalty. "Three of them [meet] their death," says the Peacock network.
