Drake Hogestyn (John Black) and Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) confirm that there's a time warp storyline headed to Days of our Lives, and they say it's going to make viewers "hang on with both hands."

Holy guacamole! Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Days of our Lives will be embarking on a unique time jump storyline, and the NBC soap opera's most popular pair, Drake Hogestyn (John Black) and Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans), just confirmed that the zany plot twist is indeed happening.

The actors recently granted an interview in which they spill a few delicious details about the time hop action slated for Salem, including the fact that a) it will be extremely thrilling, and b) it will be equally confusing (but in a fun way!).

"[There's] a very unusual time jump. Ron [Carlivati, head writer] has crafted a really complex, interesting way of telling the story that makes you hang on with both hands," Hall told Soaps.com.

Added Hogestyn, "As actors, we really had to chart and keep a ledger on where we were within the moment and fill in the blanks on what may have transpired."

Hall and Hogestyn weren't able to reveal the specific date when viewers can look forward to this time jump, nor whether it will entail characters traveling back in time or forward in time. However, Hogestyn teased that the storyline is set to kick off around Thanksgiving and will also feature a big reveal on New Year's Eve.

DAYS' upcoming time jump storyline won't be the only time that the show's head writer has played around with time travel. While in the position of head writer at One Life to Live back in 2008, Carlivati wrote a storyline in which front-burner characters Bo (Robert S. Woods) and Rex (John-Paul Lavoisier -- who briefly played DAYS' Philip Kiriakis) traveled back to the year 1968.
