Brief Character History
World-famous publisher and owner of The Banner, Victor Lord wanted to leave a legacy behind, preferably to a son. He settled for his daughter Viki, publicly shaping her into a fine and upstanding young woman, privately he had sexually abused her at a very young age. He like to interfere in daughter's love lives, fortunately to no avail. As his health deteriorated, he began to hear rumors of an illegitamite son. While he was searching, Tony Harris came to LLanview. Dorian Cramer knew about Tony and constantly interfered and manipulated Victor into marrying her and driving a wedge between him and Tony. By the time Victor learned the truth, it was too late. He had a stroke and was unable to change his will. Then he died under questionable circumstances, setting up a 20 year mystery. Dorian was once on death row for Victor's murder, but it was eventually revealed that one of Viki's alters smothered Victor to death with a pillow.
Years later it was revealed that Victor was alive after all, but his heart was weak. He desperately needed a heart transplant. Mitch kidnapped Natalie with the intention of giving her Victor's heart, but Natalie was rescued before that could happen. Victor died (for real this time), and his will left everything to Mitch Laurence.
