It's a horrible sense of deja vu for fans of Passions. soapcentral.com has learned that, for the second time this year, the oft-times campy soap has been cancelled. An official announcement has yet to be made.
Passions made its debut on NBC on July 5th, 1999. The show was plagued by low ratings almost from the beginning, but somehow the show managed to hang on for eight years. Earlier this year, NBC announced that it was pulling the plug on Passions to make way for another hour of Today. In April, fans learned that satellite television provider DirecTV had won the exclusive rights to air the show.
