Well, isn't this perfect casting: Days of our Lives' Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) and General Hospital's Ryan Carnes (Lucas Jones) will be starring together in an upcoming film called The Perfect One.
Reportedly set for a release later this year, the film follows a new mother who gets more than she bargained for when she joins the neighborhood "mommy group." Additional cast members listed on the film's IMDb page include Helena Mattsson, Leah Pipes, Lisa Thornhill, Nichole Galicia, April Billingsley, Bailey Anne Borders, Joshua Leary, and Ryan McIntyre.
No other information about The Perfect One is known at this time, other than it is written and directed by Nick Everhart, who may already be familiar to soap fans: he directed The Wrong Son, which stars Guiding Light alum Tammy Blanchard (ex-Drew Jacobs).
Mansi joined DAYS as Jack and Jennifer's daughter Abigail in 2011 and played the role until 2016. She recently returned to the NBC soap opera following the news that her replacement, Marci Miller, decided to vacate the role. At this time, it's unclear how long Mansi will stick around in Salem, especially with rumors swirling that her on-screen love, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), has exited the NBC soap.
Carnes joined the cast of GH in 2004 and played the role of Lucas until 2005. Ben Hogestyn took over the role for a short period of time, but Carnes returned in 2014 and has been playing Brad's husband on-again, off-again since that time.
