Jamie Lunar, Ian Buchanan, Jacob Young, and more have signed on to yA, the upcoming spinoff of The Bay that stars The Young and the Restless' Bianca and Chiara D'Ambrosio (ex-Summer Newman) as country twins shocked by their new urban world.

Soap opera fans who have been waiting for further details on yA, the upcoming young adult series created by Gregori J. Martin and former General Hospital executive producer Wendy Riche, will be pleased to know that The Bay spinoff will be chock-full of daytime stars.

As Soap Central previously reported, yA (a working title) is set to center around twins played by former The Young and the Restless stars Bianca and Chiara D'Ambrosio (ex-Summer Newman). The sisters play siblings Frankie and Regan Sander, who relocate from a rural area on the Central Coast to the sunny, waterfront multi-million-dollar fictional town of Bay City, California. The girls are quickly enmeshed into the cultural awakening of a sometimes-cruel new world, along with dealing with a new social environment and high school angst.

In addition to the D'Ambrosio twins, many other soap opera performers have boarded the new series. Deadline reports that the most updated cast list includes Vivica A. Fox (ex-Stephanie Simmons, Y&R), Jamie Luner (ex-Liza Colby, All My Children), Ian Buchanan (ex-Dr. James Warwick, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Duke Lavery, GH; ex-Ian McAllister, Days of our Lives; ex-Dr. Greg Madden, AMC), Jacob Young (ex-Rick Forrester, B&B; ex-J.R. Chandler, AMC; ex-Lucky Spencer, GH), Fiona Hutchison (ex-Gabrielle Medina, One Life to Live; ex-Jenna Bradshaw, Guiding Light), Gilles Marini (ex-Ted Laurent, DAYS; ex-Dr. Gohde, B&B), Alla Korot (ex-Janet Bernard, DAYS; ex-Stacy Sloan, GH: Night Shift; ex-Dr. Allie Doyle, AMC; ex-Jenna Norris, Another World), Wanda De Jesus (ex-Iris Blanco, AMC; ex-Santana Andrade, Santa Barbara), Lane Davies (ex-Dr. Cameron Lewis, GH; ex-Mason Capwell, Santa Barbara), and Brad Maule (Dr. Tony Jones, GH; ex-Reverend Palmer Y&R; ex-Dr. Abel, Passions).

Others performers who have been cast on yA include Kristos Andrews, Michael Copon, Dante Aleksander, Damoni Burkhardt, Logan Garretson, Brady Gentry, Tyler C. Lofton, Bella Martinez, Galadriel Stineman, Mark Famiglietti, Eltony Williams, Eileen Fogerty, Mike C. Manning, and Kane Hodder. Several social media influencers will recur throughout the season, including Tessa Brooks as resident mean girl Evelyn, and Indiana Massara as troubled teen Lindsay.

yA is in production with a release date to be announced soon.

The Bay recently released its fourth season on Amazon Prime Video. The digital series has been a huge Daytime Emmy success, garnering 15 wins in the Digital Daytime Drama Category, with 36 total Emmy nominations.
