Cooper funny, emotional in first Emmy win Cooper funny, emotional in first Emmy win

"I bet you thought I had died," Jeanne Cooper cracked as she took to the stage to claim her first Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy trophy. Kristoff St. John (Neil) was emotional as he accepted the Supporting Actor award. The Y&R stars' wins were the CBS soap's only acting crowns despite having had eleven nominated performers.

Backstage, Cooper thanked the media for supporting her during all the years she was nominated for an Emmy, but never won.

Is Y&R back?

Would you like to see Vincent Irizarry's David stick around on Y&R?
» The story: Irizarry's stint on Y&R will come to an end.

Yes. He's a great actor and I see a lot of story potential for David.
I like Irizarry's work, but I think David's usefulness has been exhausted.
I've never really cared for David Chow, so I'm glad he's on his way out.
I would prefer to see Irizarry in one of his previous soap roles.
I have no opinion about Irizarry's exit from Y&R at this time.
