Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe) has yet another chance to win her very first Soap Central Awards this year. In fact, Budig has four nominations this year, making her one of the most-nominated female performer on this year's AMC final ballot.

Budig, who had five nominations in last year's awards, has yet to capitalize on any of her nominations. Budig's performance over the past year has pushed her into the big leagues - with a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress. She's also received nods in the Most Attractive Female Performer, Favorite Character and Outstanding Overall Performer categories.

Last year's big winner in the nominations and final balloting, Josh Duhamel (Leo du Pres) is also back this year. Like Budig, Duhamel earned four nominations this year. Duhamel was named Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Supporting Actor last year. This year he's been nominated in the Lead Actor category.

This time around, the Newcomer field features two performers who are no longer with the show - Elizabeth Hendrickson (Mary Frances Stone) and Alana de la Garza (Rosa Santos). Rounding out the field are Amelia Heinle (Mia) and Jack Scalia (Chris Stamp).

As in year's past, The Favorite and Least Favorite Storyline categories feature a lot of the same nominees. In a showing that not all soap fans like the same things, storylines such as Bianca's coming out earned nods as the top and worst plot of the year.

Bianca's coming out, which featured prominently last year, also received numerous nominations this year. Bianca's Christmas Eve confession to her mother that she is gay earned a nod as Most Memorable Moment. Actress Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) earned nominations in the Supporting Actress. Younger Performer, Favorite Character and Overall Performer fields.

One interesting note from the nominations: Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard) did receive enough nominations to be placed on the Outstanding Newcomer section, but after consideration, his name was removed. Strictly speaking, Williams is not a newcomer since he appeared in the same role previously on AMC.
