General Hospital: Best of the Week, June 23 - 27, 2025
Welcome to the Best of the Week for General Hospital, where we highlight some of the week’s standout moments, scenes, notables, quotables, fashion, and more.
BEST OF THE WEEK

MOMENTS

Michael and Willow’s “in the spirit of transparency” confrontation in the Q mansion solarium was intense. A flickering moment of promise for Willow’s return to reality quickly faded as she angrily lashed out at Michael and dug her heels in defending Drew. The moment the slow tears began to stream down his face, you could feel Michael’s hurt, frustration, and disbelief for what Willow has become. Rory Gibson and Katelyn MacMullen were simply outstanding in these scenes. Watching Willow sink further into her delusions was truly painful and just about made me want to cry in frustration alongside Michael.
I loved seeing Tracy relish her press conference victory by watching the videos of Martin’s humiliation over and over again and planning to ask Leo to make a GIF of Drew’s defeated face. I also loved that Cody lied pro bono to help Tracy.
It cracked me up when Cody seemed to need confirmation that Daisy wasn’t able to turn herself around, much less change her own onesie.
SCENES

Tracy.Angelica.Quartermaine goes rogue at the press conference.
The fact that I could see this coming from a mile away did not make it any less enjoyable! Tracy couldn’t so much as spit the Quartermaine name out before she lost it and told the press and news watchers exactly what she thought of Drew. Martin went apoplectic, Kai became the vapid, loyal soldier, and Drew looked positively crestfallen as he quickly lost his “I’m on top of the world” buzz. Jane Elliot and Michael E. Knight are giving a master class in partner acting and stealing every scene they're in along the way!
Portia and Curtis hash it out
Okay, these scenes were a pleasant surprise! For the record, I find Portia a bit annoying and feel she was less-than-smart for managing to get blackmailed by both Brad and Drew and should hold an advanced degree in bad decision making for the way she has handled everything. However, Curtis’ inflated ego and never-ending sanctimoniousness could test even the most patient of souls, so it was refreshing to see Portia finally step up and defend herself.
Brook Kerr delivered every line of Portia’s truth with perfection. Her performance made it satisfying to watch Portia clap back at Curtis while also creating a little more understanding for her character's motives.
NOTABLES

One symbol, two possible meanings
Lucy brought a basket of oranges when she came to talk with Sonny about selling the piers. On the one hand, oranges can symbolize prosperity, good luck, and abundance…a plausible offering from a realtor. On the other hand, oranges in The Godfather movie came to symbolize danger and foreshadowed violent events. It’s fitting Lucy would deliver oranges, as she is the one who very much enabled the ill-intentioned Sidwell to get a foothold in Port Chuck in the first place.
*sigh*, Natalia
I’d actually like to give a shout-out to Eva LaRue. For whatever reason, the character of Natalia was never fleshed out or given a full arc of growth, but I commend Eva LaRue for doing what she could to add complexity to a largely one-dimensional and unlikable character. In her character’s scenes with Brook Lynn, it was impressive the way LaRue maintained Natalia’s self-absorption while also conveying the crippling regret of a mother who destroyed her relationship with her children. Too bad LaRue won’t get a chance to show us more of her range as it looks like Natalia’s life-clock is rapidly ticking down.
QUOTABLES

“I will face the humiliation that comes with the deal I made with the devil.” - Tracy referring to her impending press conference with Martin and Drew“...as you know, matrimony and I are no longer speaking.” - Martin explaining why he didn’t initially say congratulations to Drew for his engagement to Willow
“Look at you. So proud of yourself for winning. Just so you know, “gloat” is not a good color on you.” — Tracy to Drew, who was acting beyond smug before the press conference
“Brook Lynn, why don’t you take your granny home. She is either having a stroke or sundowning.” — Martin, trying to get Tracy out of the press conference
“You want to talk about a gross display? How about the video of your client having sex with his nephew’s wife in her children’s nursery amongst my mother’s antique dolls?” — Tracy, telling Martin and the press what an actual gross display was
“Then, you’re both liars. He lies to you and you lie to yourself.” — Michael fighting with Willow about Drew
“Have YOU tried ignoring you?” — Rocco to Lulu when she told him to ignore her surprise visit on his first day of work at the Metro Court pool
“If Ric and Ava break up, Ric is going to pursue Elizabeth. And, I am not going to repay her kindness by leaving her in the crosshairs of a sociopath.” — Alexis, trying to talk Kristina out of her plan to break Ric and Ava up
“Damages go up with every single spasm.” — Martin, talking to Ric about suing Tracy in the hospital
“You don’t have to baste among strangers.” — Tracy, reminding Lulu she could swim at the Q mansion
“It would have been interesting to see Sonny, Mac, and Robert all standing around the baptismal font.” — Chase, sharing his disappointment that Mac and Robert weren’t going to be at the christening
“I’m sure there’s an easy and corporeal explanation for it all.” — Cody, assuring Sasha he was only joking about a ghost and there had to be a logical explanation for the things going on with Daisy
“Willow is going to Willow.” — Joss, talking to Michael about not letting Willow’s actions darken Daisy’s christening
“Whew, I’m so tired of living in fear of your judgement. Your impossibly high standards - you needing to be right every 👏single 👏 time 👏 we 👏 talk.” - Portia speaking her truth to Curtis
FASHION

Jordan’s bikini and sarong at the Metro Court pool
Jordan looked slamming in her sky blue bikini and coordinating sarong at the Metro Court pool. Tanisha Harper should absolutely steal this for her own wardrobe!
Tracy’s poolside outfit
I thought Tracy looked classic in her poolside outfit to meet Lulu.
MUSINGS

Really, Kai, really? You just lost football, and now you’re about to lose Trina too! Willow and Kai literally look like they are being brainwashed.
Did Lulu keep her summer hat on after the sun went down because she was afraid of hat head?
Is someone getting a commission for promoting dragonberry juice?
Marco should really revisit the rules of attorney-client privilege.
What is it about the Aurora office that puts people in the mood? Drew made out with Willow and had sex with Nina on the floor in his office, and now, Curtis and Portia were about to have sex in his office until Jordan walked in. They must be pumping pheromones or something through the air ducts.
You know how some people put money in a “swear jar” every time they curse? I propose that Drew put money in a “constituents jar” every time that annoying word leaves his mouth. Surely, he’d be able to save enough money to pay for his upcoming wedding in no time!
Willow really likes her possessive pronouns to show possession…Almost always, Michael will refer to Wylie and Amelia as “our” children/kids, but Willow will refer to them as “her” children/kids.
FINAL THOUGHT
It's been just over a year since beloved actor Johnny Wactor's (Brando Corbin) life was tragically taken from him. Recently, his loved ones came together to celebrate his final film, Ciao, Mama. He both acted in and produced what looks to be a heartbreaking and beautiful film. We continue to wish peace and healing to his family and loved ones. Johnny's Mile is an organization founded in his honor, with charitable donations used to support families in grief.
