Orlando Bloom appears to be embracing a new chapter in his life following his split from longtime partner Katy Perry. The actor, 48, took to Instagram Stories on Monday with introspective messages about fresh starts and courage, his first public sentiments since news broke of his and the singer's breakup.

One post featured a quote attributed to Buddha:

“Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”

In a second story, Orlando Bloom shared a line from Japanese author Daisaku Ikeda:

“The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”

Though Orlando Bloom didn’t mention any personal context, the timing of the posts follows closely on the heels of his solo appearance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish Venice wedding over the weekend.

According to Page Six, the Lord of the Rings star was seen “partying hard” and dancing until he was “sweaty.”

TMZ also reported that he reunited with friend Leonardo DiCaprio and joined a celebrity afterparty with Sydney Sweeney and the Kardashians.

On Saturday, Bloom was photographed walking in Venice alongside Sweeney and Tom Brady. By Sunday, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor had departed the city.

Meanwhile, Sánchez acknowledged Katy Perry with a heartwarming gesture. After the “Thinking of You” singer shared an upbeat Instagram post that hinted at a positive mood, Sánchez replied in the comments:

“We miss you Katy.”

Katy Perry shares Quokka-filled joy in Australia after Orlando Bloom split

While Orlando Bloom hits the water with Tom Brady and Leonardo DiCaprio in Italy, Katy Perry is keeping things light and sunny down under. The pop star posted cheerful snapshots from her time in Western Australia on Friday, just days after the end of her engagement to the Troy actor.

The Lifetimes Tour stop brought Perry to Rottnest Island, where she seemed at ease in the company of quokkas and coastal views. Her Instagram caption kept things playful:

“mood: Quokka.”

Among the collection of breezy photos were shots of Perry biking scenic trails, posing next to the famously photogenic marsupials, and even picking up quokka-shaped chocolate at a local store.

The post also included a special moment with her daughter, 4-year-old Daisy Dove, whom she shares with Bloom. In the sweet image, Daisy is seen wearing a peach-colored cardigan while helping steer a boat.
