The finale of Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 left fans curious and praying after seeing Wednesday thrown out the window by Tyler’s beastly form of Hyde in Willow Hill. As the trailer already revealed that Wednesday is alive, it also surprised everyone with Principal Weems' appearance as her spiritual guide.

Wednesday has thrust herself into numerous problems this season, and on top of that, her powers have been glitching as well. This is the perfect time for her to have someone to guide her to fight the Hyde, protect Enid and herself, and find out what is wrong with her powers. This is not the first time Wednesday needed a spirit guide to help her out, as in Season 1, it was Goody Addams who saved her at the end.

This further proves that living beings can never fully school Wednesday due to her involvement in problems that are beyond help from any of the living beings around her.

More on this in our story.

Wednesday Season 2: Principal Weems takes Goody Addams' place

From the beginning of Wednesday Season 2, Jenna Ortega’s character learned that she has been having problems with her psychic powers, which her mother thinks are due to overuse. However, she barely regards her mother’s words and finds herself in more trouble, which later results in her coma.

In part of season 2, Wednesday meets Principal Weems as her new spirit guide due to them being distantly related. With the mess ahead of the Nevermore student, with all of Willow Hill's patients escaping and Tyler looking to find an opportunity to take his revenge on Enid and her, she really needed the help of someone.

Weems becomes that character for her. In Season 1, we have seen that Goody Addams’ vision helped Wednesday uncover the secret that linked Gates and Crakstone. Goody even saved her from dying at the end by healing her. In Season 2, she couldn’t summon Goody anymore, which left her without any spirit guide, resulting in her being closer to danger.

However, Weems’s appearance has solved this problem, as it appears that Wednesday literally needs an otherworldly presence to guide her in her investigation of the problems that she identifies around her, which the living have not been able to do for her.

Besides Weems’ appearance as a spirit guide in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2, numerous other plotlines need to be answered in the final four episodes. In Part 1, we saw Wednesday and her mother struggling to have a good conversation, resulting in so many friction-inducing moments.

As the Addams family remains united in Nevermore, we will see if their relationship improves through closer proximity or deteriorates further.

Additionally, the final episodes will show how she manages to save Enid’s life and whether Principal Weems can assist her in her new mission.
