Chris grew up in Boston, Massachusetts with his mother and father. His father was brutally attacked in a car-jacking and was killed. Chris and his mother, Rita, never see eye-to-eye with each other. Chris was good friends with Cindy Brooke, but later found out that she was involved with her sister's death. Chris became a reporter at The Herald under Jake McKinnon and Matthew Cory. He arrived in Bay City after suffering from a car accident. He later recovered and was injured again when The Bay City Stalker attacked him. Chris dated Dana Kramer and Judy Burrell, but found his true love, Toni Burrell in March of 1997. The two did not see eye-to-eye with each other, but later began dating. Toni's rape tested the couple's relationship. Chris stood by Toni during her trial. He became jealous of Toni's relationship with her best friend, Tyrone Montgomery. The two has separated and got back together. However, Chris does still see the tension between Toni and Tyrone.
