Days of our Lives fans are about to meet a new Tate Black, but what does he have to do with the temporary Sloan Petersen?

On the April 5 episode of Days of our Lives, Tate Black will get a whole new face when Leo Howard takes over the role of Brady and Theresa's teenage son following Jamie Martin Mann's exit.

Howard comes to his first daytime role after a multi-season stint on the CW series Legacies from 2019 to 2022 but has been acting since he was a child. He even won a Young Artist Award in 2010 for his role in the film Shorts. You've also seen him as a young Conan in 2011's Conan the Barbarian, as well as the TV series Why Women Kill.

It turns out that you've also seen Howard's fiancé before -- and right in Salem quite recently. Howard has been engaged to actress Natasha Hall since last summer. Hall recently graced your DAYS screens as a temporary replacement for Jessica Serfaty's Sloan.

Howard announced their engagement last July in a sneaky little Instagram post.

"I just want to announce Natasha and I are no longer dating," Howard wrote, while also sharing a series of photos of him and Hall in a field, looking lovingly at one another with her engagement ring prominently featured. His Instagram account features pics of the pair going back to 2021.

Hall recently wowed fans as the perfect Sloan recast. She has many of the same features and mannerisms as Serfaty and slipped seamlessly into the role as, during the baby's christening, Sloan feared Leo would tell everyone she stole Jude. Hall's previous credits include appearances on The Kominsky Method and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Howard takes over the role of Tate as he begins a new life in Salem, finally free from drug charges as he tries to resume a romance with Holly Jonas.

Would it be fun to see Howard and his fiancée in scenes togther? Are you glad Tate is sticking around Salem? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
