At the jail, Thorne comes by to see Taylor and she thanks him for standing up for her in court. He tells her he misses her and admits that he had to tell the truth when he was on the stand, because he knows that she loved Darla and never wanted to hurt her. Storm walks in and informs them that it is time to go to court. Even though Taylor thinks she's going to prison, she tells Thorne she can deal with it now that she has his support. Thorne tells her he doesn't want to lose her too.

At the courthouse everyone fearfully awaits Taylor's verdict. Taylor is found not guilty of vehicular manslaughter and with Storm's expertise all of the other charges are dropped. Taylor only has to serve six months probation and community service. After leaving the courthouse, everyone heads to Taylor's to celebrate. Felicia commends Storm on his excellent defense. Ridge thanks Thorne again for coming to Taylor's aid. Thorne asks Ridge's permission to pursue Taylor romantically. Ridge tells him he is cool with it as long as he doesn't call her doc. Taylor makes a speech telling everyone that she has learned that alcohol never solves problems. She thanks Storm for all of his help and promises to honor Darla by trying to live an exemplary life from now on. Taylor is excited to see Allie and they share a tender moment. The little girl asks her about her trip to London and Taylor promises to tell her all about it one day. Later when they're alone, Thorne carries Taylor's baggage up to her room. They agree that one day when Allie is old enough to understand they will tell her the truth. Thorne proposes to her again and Taylor accepts, thrilled that he still loves her after everything that's happened. They begin to kiss passionately on the bed and clothes start falling off.

Meanwhile at Massimo's house, Nick tries to help his mother get settled in. Donna comes down and after introducing them, Nick tells Jackie that Donna has been helping him get the house ready. Jackie is annoyed with all of Nick's coddling and tells him she wants to go back to work. Nick insists that she needs help and has to take it easy in order to prevent a relapse. He wants her to be ready to help when it's time for him to start running Forrester. Realizing the truth in his words, Jackie decides to rest. When they're alone, Donna questions him about what he meant when he said he would be running Forrester. Nick explains that he gave the Forrester's a choice either sell the company or take the chance that Stephanie might end up in jail. Donna thinks he's being a little harsh knocking all of the Forrester's out of their company. Nick feels justified after what Stephanie did to his mom. He also thinks Brooke will get over Ridge if he doesn't have a job at Forrester. Donna doesn't think it will be that easy to keep Ridge and Brooke apart.
