Ben Olson was the husband of Addie Horton. Together Ben and Addie had two children, Steven and Julie Olson. Ben was the president of the Bank of Salem and was one of the richest men in town. In 1965 Ben and Addie Horton moved to Paris, leaving their daughter Julie behind in the care of her grandparents. In 1971 Ben Olson died in Paris.
