General Hospital fans have been clamoring to see Réal Andrews as Marcus Taggert again since he first learned that Trina Robinson wasn't his biological daughter nearly a year ago.
Taggert's unexplained disappearance from our screens came soon after the paternity secret was revealed. Trina had vowed that Taggert would always be her dad, and then ceased talking about him at all when she decided to accept Curtis as her other father.
On February 20, Andrews took to Instagram to address fans' questions about Taggert, saying, "At this point, it's really gonna be up to you guys -- and God, first and foremost. If God wants me back, I'll be back, but also with your support -- you guys have a very loud voice, especially in today's day and age, so between God and you all making a bunch of noise. If it's meant to be, I'll be back and if I'm back, I'll bring it, you know? That's what I do."
Well, it looks like he may now know, although he is not saying much about it. When Soap Central took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ask fans if Taggert's absence makes it harder to accept the new closeness between Trina and Curtis, one fan said she was still holding out hope that the DNA tests were switched.
"I'm still holding out hope that Ms. Wu thought she was doing Curtis a solid by switching the DNA tests," @CurlyDTales wrote. "Also, why just throw away all the heartache we saw from #Taggert at the news? He never confronted Portia. I know @realandrews and @brookkerr would devour the material."

To that, Andrews responded with one sentence that told fans there was still more Taggert to come. "Stay tuned for Taggert storyline," he said.

When Andrews appears again remains to be seen, but maybe we'll find out why Taggert never became police commissioner, a position he was offered before he mysteriously vanished.
