Murray Bartlett (ex-Cyrus Foley, Guiding Light) lands a colorful role in Immigrant, a Hulu limited series about the Chippendales.

Guiding Light star Murray Bartlett (ex-Cyrus Foley) has been on a roll the last two years, landing major gigs in big HBO series like The White Lotus and the forthcoming The Last of Us. Now comes word that he's landed another biggie with Hulu's upcoming limited series, Immigrant.

The show tells the true story of Somen "Steve" Banerjee (Kumail Nanjiani), the Indian-American entrepreneur who started the male strip tease company Chippendales. As reported by Deadline, the series -- written and executive produced by Pam & Tommy creator Robert Siegel -- will detail the insane, darkly comedic, crime-ridden story behind the unique male revue that became a cultural phenomenon.

Bartlett will play the series regular role of producer-choreographer Nick De Noia, a charming, fast-talking New Yorker who's certain he's God's gift to entertainment. The character, who ultimately becomes responsible for transforming Chippendales from a seedy male strip joint in West L.A. to the global juggernaut it has since become, is a man of many passions; he loves drinking, drugs, women, men -- and most of all, show biz.

Murray Bartlett got his start on the Australian soap operas Home and Away and Neighbours. His first US soap role was All My Children's Julian Sinclair, which he played from 2002 to 2003. He later landed the role of GL con man Cyrus Foley, which he played from 2007 to 2009. His more recent credits include Tales in the City, Looking, and The White Lotus, the latter of which has earned Bartlett a number of honors, including an acting nomination for the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
